So, I haven't really reviewed for a bit (sorry about that) and again I just wanted to say that I love your story, and the characterization of the main characters. Truthfully, I think that Sarah is a tad OOC, but not much, but that's okay because it's not annoying (most OOC Sarahs really, really bother me). So please keep up the good work and I will enjoy reading your story every time you update. :)

While this story is very good, I am not at all for the submissive Sarah when she's with Jareth. Yeah, Jareth saved her and the children...yes, he healed her (all for his own malevolent reasons) and yes, they are in love. However, Sarah isn't free at all. And while she can face others (such as Garthon) why is it that she cannot "stand-up" to Jareth. She's like a robot...besides the sweet scenes between she and Jareth. Other than that, she's more confused than anything...telling herself it is worth it. In my opinion, it is not. And I think that if Sarah were being written true to her character, she'd feel the same way. Too much inconsistency, I feel. For the most part, though, I am enjoying this story. But if she gets too submissive, I am gonna have to say goodbye. Can't stand submissive Sarahs.

While I agree to some extent and this is very well said, I have to say remember that she is afraid he'll make it impossible for her to see Toby and Claire at all. She's at his mercy, after all; he views the children as his own. So to a point I can understand your thoughts. In her mind though I think she would rail against him as she wants to for real, rather than saying "it's all worth it." I think she'd be cussing him and and screaming against him inside, despite her feelings for him. I'm not sure either that she would stand for being used as a pawn in his game to detract Adele. I'm enjoying the story as well too though, despite these misgivings.

Gosh, I would think Sarah would have some misgivings about Jareth's behavior, feeling that he's using her, etc. It would be awfully hard to enjoy his, erm, attentions, knowing he's only doing it to avoid the annoying Lady Adele.

Have I mentioned yet that I'm addicted to this story? Anxiously awaiting the next chapter...

Oh goddess i don't know how i missed this story so far it's WONDERFUL i found it just when i needed a good story to weep over (don't take that the wrong way it's a complement) please keep writing it's nice to see such a colourful rendition of the fairies as well

I came upon this fic by chance and, I've got to tell you, I'm falling in love with it. Its heartbreaking and beautiful. I made it half way through this chapter and a song came on the radio: "Say It Right" be Nelly Furtado. I looked up the lyrics and to me its almost perfect for the tone of the story.

Jareth is being foolish. He should've known that their display of affection would not warn the Dumont bitch off, but only serve to incite her, which is dangerous to Sarah's well- being. Hm... methinketh that he needs to marry her as quickly as possible. Marriage is the only thing that would stop the Lady. Because, should death befall Sarah, it would be blamed on the woman most jealous of her. Anyway- I loved the fluff.
