I honestly hate how you portray itachi as the typical uchiha jerk being evil just to be evil only for one ideal and did you forget about his disease why is he portrayed like he's like the strongest person in the story its hella frustrating .the sasuke bashing is also frustrating I mean I don't like him that I still respect the character so making him so weak was just fucking weird

Oh my god! I'd be embarassed, too! Not just regretful. Poor Naruto…

Torture is not so efficient, and that was pretty well displayed by the torture scene in the last chapter. Torture is a good way to get people to say what you want, but it doesn't mean they will tell the truth or even know what you want. It is very commonly used to obtain false confessions and scapegoats.
However, saying that it works is a wonderful way to rationalize doing horrible things, and at the moment Kakashi is just trying to make naruto feel better so it makes sense that he would say so.

Wow...kabuto freakin me out now! He reminds of that creature on lord of the rings who wanted the ring.

So despite Naruto swearing to not break his promise, so much so that he leaves Konoha, he ends up breaking it anyways? Bah.

Urgh :/ Warn us about OCs. Your story was kinda okay until then, but OCs ruin it, especially overly-friendly with Naruto and gonna-be-sidekick ones.

you completely skipped the whole team building scenario. you just arbitrarily added people to the story. this was a good story, a little rough, but good. now... well, i know I'm just a guy on the internet who has yet to contribute to . but you lost me.

Wow. Very well done. Like the emotions in this chapter. And for once, its original. I thought this was gonna be one of those "naruto returns without sasuke, village want their precious uchiha, sakura pissed off, ban naruto" crappy fanfics but I was wrong.

Fifty three chapters... Are you glad it's over?

The story itself was lush and thorough, from ROOTS to the Akatsuki. There was action... lots of action, but all of it written very precisely, and I could imagine what was going on in my head.

The character development was actually unexpected at first. I never would have thought Naruto wouldn't realize his developing feelings for Suki... and although a part of me liked the idea of Sasuke and Naruto fighting over Sakura, I'm glad Naruto was given a character who's likable, and not a Mary Sue of some sorts. Sasuke and Naruto's interaction was fantastic (I've said this a million times, I just know it) and the enemies were as well. Also, your original characters, specifically Naruto's former teammates. They were all quite likable and it was a shame to see them go so soon. Original characters are always tricky and usually I don't like them, but the fact that I still remember them now, well, I guess they impacted the story a little more than I thought they would.

I kept wondering "Does this thing REALLY have to be over chapters?" but your story and your writing is so dense, I guess there's no choice, huh? And the very last part made me crack up. Oh man, Naruto and Sasuke have corrupted their children!

You deserve a pat on the back for sticking it through and for doing such a great job. Cheers to you and whatever future projects you have. Keep it coming!

I hate to sound like a critic, but this was a spectacular ending to a spectacular story. It took fifty three chapters and more than a year to tell, and I can't imagine doing it myself, but you pulled it off very well for someone who claims to be almost as lazy as Shikamaru. I have no doubt that I'll come back and read this again at least once now that it's all up, and I'm also looking forward to that other large Naruto project you mentioned earlier.

Don't stop writing.

I've been with this story since chapter 3 I think, and now it makes me both happy and sad to see it finished. Truly a great story.
