I don't remember when exactly I first came across this fic.. Several years ago at least. Then it wasn't finished yet, and with life, as we all know if does got in the way. I just found it again and in the last three days have read every chapter again and finally this. The end of Fallen though I stopped writing can fiction a few years back I have ideas flowing through my head again. If I ever do manage to post something you can be sure there will be mention of this, which is the best, did I've ever red and made my cry, laugh, and on the edge of my seat for the whole ride. Thank you ConfusedKnight, I pray you never stop writing.

Just read this in one sitting. It is a ridiculous hour in the morning and I have no regrets.
I went back to reread my comment on another PotS fanfic on a whim and saw this recommended by the author in response to a different comment.
The sheer time and dedication you've put into this has pulled me out of the anonymity of lurk-and-read. Even if you never see this... Wow. So much thought went into this, fed with evident love for the series, for the characters, for the world, for Pierce's work. It stands right up there with the actual books, and even finds more satisfying explanations for plot threads and relationships between characters than the original story did. Beautiful work.

Hello, I read this years ago, but a recent motivation to start writing my own stories made me hunt down my old favourites, and here I am.

Thank you so, so much for writing a story like this. It is certainly the best Kel-gets-kicked-out story I've ever read! It's epic and grand, but I love, love the humanity that you injected into the story. You've humanised the Scanrans very well (and certainly by the time Kel got back I got as annoyed as her when Tortallans dismissed Scanrans as barbarians. But it happens so often in our world too, doesn't it?).

I was looking for a good read, but came away inspired and touched, and ready to look at the world with wiser eyes towards the bad things still happening in our world. I hope that one day I can write a story that has such an effect on readers as well.

P.S. Inspired by Kel's training, I went out for a run for the first time in a long while today! Next time I procrastinate about hitting the gym, I'll think about Kel. :)

Nothing terribly important to say, but I will tell you this I love the story so much. I read it at least four times so far and will in all likelihood read it many more times to come. Your characterization is so true to the characters and the plot is so plausible in the face of the change that you made. I’m truly impressed and more than a little jealous.

Hey, so I know it's been four years and all but. This fic is so so so so amazing, and I just re-re-re-read this and I'm pretty sure I've reviewed this before but. oh my gosh. I have so so so many feelings about Fallen. So so so many. I don't even know how to describe them all. So many feelings about Alex and Kel and whenever they interact I just get this bubble of happiness and it doesn't go away? Bc Kel and Alex and siblings and oh my gods I love them so so so much. I'm so so in love with your Scanra, and the whole plotline and the way you tell the other side of the story and it seems so realistic and like it could just, slot into the books, and I Love Tor, and Fassin, and Rhonda, and I love your Fanche and I how did I nearly forget Jacqui and Eron and Isra, Hal and Meah? I just, Everyone. And everything. All of it. I love your writing and I love your story and I don't even have words.

Quite the journey. Granted, I enjoyed Kel for using the glaive, but how you described her growing up and learning different styles was well done. I'm now sad that it is over, but it is bittersweet. Problem is now that I must find the next story for me to read.

Also, torture the Meathead! He deserves it.

Thank you so much for writing this incredible story. It's been truly awe-inspiring to see the dedication you've put into this. It's given me the courage to start my own PotS fanfiction, and inspired it in the first place! I also thought it could be interesting to involve my new character with the going-ons in Scanra... hehehe. I promise not to steal any direct ideas though!
Anyway, thanks so much for this beautiful piece of work. I'm sorry that this is short, but I really don't know how to put my thoughts into words. (And I will admit I am sorely tempted to create a fanfic for this fanfic... C)

Yo! This is my first time writing a review, so forgive me if it's bad. This is an incredible story-I've seen two recommendations for it from authors I heartily respect, and they were right. Great admiration-I know from experience that it takes effort to persevere when writing a story. Thanks for writing this! (Also, just thought I'd mention this, when you said, "...imagine the cutest blond two year old you can..." I promptly went and searched the phrase up for images. ;P LOL. I also spent a good ten seconds diligently debating between typing in cute or cutest.)
