Hi, I would just like to say that I picked up Fallen right when it began - I was probably 12 at the time? I haven't kept up with every chapter each time you've uploaded, but this story has been with me since I first picked it up. Of all the fanfiction I've read, this is the title I always remember, the author I always remember. I would try every year or so to check on its status- and read right from the beginning up to where you had updated (I've probably read Chapter One sixteen times at this rate!). I'm in college now, and I'm so glad I found this again. Thank you so much for writing this. I'm so overjoyed I could finally read the ending. I honestly just spent the past day re-reading all of it - and I can't believe how much I love it. I cried when Idan died, I laughed, and I find it amazing how Kel went down such a different route but remained the same character I loved and admired. Thank you again for dedicating your time to writing this incredible, incredible story! Good luck with everything you've been doing; I hope you write more, because this story honestly holds the same place in my heart as Tamora Pierce's original work. Thank you!

I am crying as I write this review. Your story is AMAZING. I don't know if I'm lucky I found it completed or wish that I'd been able to read as you wrote and encourage you and thank you then. Either way, I thank you for completing this despite obviously having lots on in life. I can't believe how young you were when you started but how mature your thoughts. Much like Kel. Wow. What a ride.
I started this story on Monday, having read through a multitude of Dom/Kel fics and having wanted to read something with a little more substance. This turned out to be so much more.

Initially I was daunted by the chapter length of 83 chapters. I argued that between working days and attending university at night that I didn't have time to invest in a story as long as this one. That at the end of the day I would regret any loss of sleep is faired due to reading. I was wrong. I took my time reading this epic. A few chapters a night and a few during any free time I may have acquired. There were moments where I didn't want to put my phone away because I was so in love with this variation of Keladry.

I was eight years old when I read the first POTS book. I am now twenty two and Kel still means so much to me. This story actually made me feel a little closer to her. A little more drawn to her.

In the beginning I hated how Kel went to the convent. I hated the tauros attack and her running away instead of back to Corus to be trained up the way she was supposed to be. But then I understood why it couldn't be. Because then I fell in love with each emotional connection she made. Alex. Oh how I absolutely had my heart just pulled by his love for his country and his devotion to build it into something beautiful. From the moment that the story was told of the royal who had been twisted into killing his own family I had just known that Alex was the prince. I had hoped for so long to see him as King, so the moment Maggur was killed and then Alex crowned shortly there in after I was floating. And then Tobe being his son. I can't even express the joy in my heart over that decision.

I think my favorite storyline was still Kel with the Own. I always loved the comraderie she held with the men and her relationship with Raoul. There's just something so inherently right about her being with them.

And then Dom. I love that it was him interested in her before he ever had known who she was. I love that he pursued her and even after discovering who she was was still devoted to her. I love that he respects her and was willing to give up everything for her. I love that Kel wouldn't let him give up everything even more. I was so proud that she put him in place during the centaur fight because she can look after herself and she needed Dom to look after himself. I love that you ended this epic with her starting the family they both wanted, unknowingly.

Thank you for this reimagining of one of my favorite stories. Thank you for having invested so much time and energy into a story all those years ago. Thank you for the best week long read of my life. Thank you for showing that no matter what the road was, Keladry of Mindelan was always destined to be a Lady Knight of Tortall.

I love your story!
Your plot is very well planes and your characters are amazingly deep. I love the fact that you took the diverging story line and answered everything so well, I also love the development of the Culture we don't really learn about in any of the original books.
So far the only mistake I've found is when you are taking about Fassin the Shang, in one chapter you refer to him as the Shang jacket and in this chapter he is the Shang hawk .. Personally I like Jackel. I know you are done writing but I look forward to more stories from you :)

I'm almost done and part of me doesn't want to finish because this story is just that good! Honestly it's rekindled my love for Tamora Pierce and as soon as I finish this story, and read your other fics, I'm definitely rereading Protector of the Small! Anyways well done, I'll leave a final review when I finish the last chapter!
