Hey! I only recently discovered the whole concept of fan fiction, and the Protector of the Small series was the first story I looked up. After so many years of loving and reading Tamora Pierce, not having any other 'real life' friends that read her, I am amazed to discover such a large Tamora Pierce fan community! Ah...the wonders of the internet. :-) Anyway, I've always thought that the Tamora Pierce stories should be made into movies, although I've heard that Tamora herself doesn't necessarily think that it's feasible. Perhaps her story, the way it's written, WOULD be too slow for the movies...but I think your story, which is a lot more action-packed and dramatic than Tamora's version, would do very well as a movie. Maybe if you changed the names... Think about it... :-)

I can say without a doubt, this is the greatest fanfiction i have ever read. Ever.

I just found this story last night, and spent 24 hours non stop reading it. I cannot tell you how well written I think it is. The story of Keladry has always been one of my favorites and I thank you for writing this. I grew attached to all of the original characters and yea I'll stop rambling now. Well done :)

May I start by saying that I'm actually glad I didn't find this story before? Went through all 400k words in 3 days, so I don't Think i could have handled the long waits between chapters ;)
Reminiscing a younger self I just reread the entire PotS Series, and was left wanting more (*cough*Dom) so i started looking through fanfictions, and I was not disappointed!
Thank you for writing a story - well written, tragic, capturing and joyful all at once!

This is without a doubt the best fanfic I've ever read! You should write and publish your own books or get permission from Tamora Pierce to publish this. I'd love to read more of your work!

I've spent the last three days consuming this story, and it absolutely equals and even surpasses the original books. Thank you so much for devoting such time and effort. Too often I've seen shorter stories left unfinished and I can't express how happy I am, arriving at this last chapter, to find you saw it all the way through. The only thing better would have been to read each chapter as you published them in true, fanfiction style. Cheers.

I checked one day with the sudden inspiration to see if a new chapter had been added after not looking at the website for a couple of years, and to my surprise I found this FINISHED and I freaked out because I couldn't remember which chapter I had read last, so I just spent the last week rereading everything for the third time, and for the new chapters, the first. This has been amazing to read.

Just retread this story, for the fourth time I believe. Definitely worthy of the title novel, and an absolutely amazing story and plot! Love it every time I read it :)
