| Tasha chapter 1 . 7/1/2010
Well it would make sence that Azula threatened Mai's family
except for the fact that Mai turned on her in the second part of
The Boiling rock.
| Panda C chapter 1 . 11/10/2009

Hm. I never thought about it before, but Mai's family -is- surrounded by guards :/ Wow, Azula's crafty. Nice story.
| Coeus chapter 1 . 8/23/2007
Very believable scene. You wrote Azula extremely well. She seemed completely in character.
Mai was a bit different than what we see in the show, but then, we don't hardly see her in the show. I like the way you handled her in this.
Excellent job. I enjoyed it.

O. Evil. Fantastic.
| swan-swan chapter 1 . 2/24/2007
The only real problem with this story is the fact that it might have too much of an impact on the canon...
But that statement should also be taken as meaning, "If something close to this appeared in the canon, I would not be surprised but would really enjoy the scene."
Well, now I wouldn't be surprised...
It's believable. It's very believable. Azula's in-character...it would be a way to bring Mai out a bit more. Suddenly, effectively...GREAT...now I'm hoping for something like this, thanks a lot...
But I don't think she would order Mai to avoid Zuko. She would probably tell her something more along the lines of "If you and Zuko start putting your heads together in a way to commit some treasonous act..." I don't know if she'd really have a problem with Zuko going with Mai. It might actually be a benefit-keep his mind off of Katara or any other girls he might have met.
Azula WOULD do something like that...
Another problem is the line "strike out." I don't think she would say something like that-it would probably be more of "fall short" or "miss the mark."
The most believable situation, though, would probably be Azula warning Mai about which sibling she should side with if it turns out that Zuko is still harboring doubts and thoughts of disloyalty.
I would love to see this...

That was one of the best Azula fics ever! You showed Azula as the evil, malicious, sadistic Princess she was truly supposed to be. Great job! I have a nice scenario I will post for you here:
Azula (to Mai): So, you like my brother?
Azula: I knew it!
Azula: Stay away from him...
Azula: Or your family's dead.
Mai: I see.
Azula: *claps hands together* Ok, now that we understand eachother, who wants pizza!
Mai: Sure I guess. I like cheese.
Azula: I perfer pepperoni myself, but whatever.
Mai: Does Ty Lee get pizza?
Mai: That's alright with me.
Azula: So, you're not mad at me right?
Mai: Yes, but still, free pizza.
Azula: Who said I was paying for it? I just asked if you wanted pizza.
Did you like it? I guess it was ok. I was kinda serious until the pizza thing. lol. Great fic!

| empyreality chapter 1 . 12/5/2006
Oh my gosh, I love it! You portraye the maiko and although Azula is preventing it, you can tell that mai isn't the cold person everyone thinks she is. Everyone was in charater (especially Azula) and the wording was wonderful, good job!
| RealCoral chapter 1 . 12/5/2006

| Tsuka-sama chapter 1 . 12/4/2006
Yes, very neat one-shot! I was thinking about that too. This gives a deeper look into Mai's thoughts.
| High Queen of Dreams chapter 1 . 12/4/2006
Oh gosh, you had to make Azula keep Mai away from Zuko. Dang it, where's the Mailo love? T_T *lol* Anyways, you kept true to Azula's character. I like how you acted on Mai, I mean, she's not heartless like everybody thinks. So, thumbs up!
