Hmm… honestly, I wasn't verg satisfied with this story because of the OOCness and the bad message it carries out. You do have a nice writing style, though, so kudos to that.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to say about both Shikamaru and Temari agreeing to having a baby, since it seems really OOC of the both of them to go straight into something like that so recklessly. Temari wouldn't want to leave Suna ever, and the both of them are really logical an analytical thinkers, so I don't think they'd even think about having a baby in the first place. Also, considering that Shikamaru is a very analytical thinker, he'd be able to read Temari really easily, so it doesn't make sense that he couldn't read Temari's emotions and thoughts quickly.

Also, I know so many people portray Ino as some sort of slut who prides her looks, but there's no evidence in the canon of that. I know there was that scene when she was trying to attract Neji during the chuunin exams, but that was just for show so they could get Team Gai's scroll. Aside from that, there has never been any evidence of Ino being some sort of player or priding herself on her looks. And I don't think she'd ever agree to doing it with Chouji, since she's way too attracted by Sai and Sasuke and she wouldn't want to betray her heart. I hate it when people portray Ino as some sort of slut because she's a kind, caring, sweet, and lovely girl and I have no clue where people get these negative qualities of her from.

Otherwise, I wonder how everyone else will react when they find out that Shikamaru and Temari are going to have a baby together, especially Gaara and Kankurou.

Anyway, this has been bugging me for a while but I wasn't sure how to explain it, but I think I got it now. I feel like Shikamaru and Temari are OOC. First of all, the both of them are very loyal people. They are both also very intelligent, logical, and analytical people. That being said, it would make more sense for the both of their characters if they had just quit the relationship in the first place, or if they had never wanted to date each other either. Shikamaru is too loyal to Konoha, and Temari to Suna. Add the fact that they're both very analytical and logical people, neither of them would want to date each other if it meant it would be illegal eventually.

Also, Gaara and Kankurou seem OOC as well. Why would they hate Shikamaru at all in the first place? They both trust Konoha, especially Naruto, so whatever Naruto's judgement is, they'd trust it. Considering that Naruto is friends with Shikamaru and trusts him, I don't see why either Gaara or Kankurou would have anything against Shikamaru at all.

Also, I know you hardly even mentioned him, but Kiba was also OOC in the sense that it's not him to fuck any girl up. So many authors put this quality to Kiba and I honestly have no idea where they get the idea of it from.

I'm sorry if I offended you, but I'm just trying to get my point across, and hopefully help you see the characters better. :)

I hope Shikamaru and Temari find a way to be married in the end. Hopefully both villages will figure out something to do so it'll work.

This must be so hard on Temari, loving Shikamaru and being so loyal to Suna at the same time. The anime and manga portray her as almost Mary Sue-ish, but I've always believed that there's more to Temari than what the canon shows, but because she isn't too important of a character, they never go into it. That's why I love fanfiction with Temari: They explore all the sides of her and make her character so much more interesting. So I love how well you captured her here, honestly.

I think you've got them both IC, with Temari being loyal to Suna, and even though Shikamaru is lazy almost all the time, he really does try when it's something that matters to him and when he's forced to do something, so I think you got him right there, too. I'm pretty interested to see how things will turn out for the both of them.

Wow! Great chapter - it does a good job of introducing the meat of the story and making me want to read further. I actually read your story 'Three Days' many, many years ago and remembered how much I enjoyed it so I found this one. I think it's the 5th or 6th time I've read this story. It's amazing on so many different levels. The plot, the law, the way you've captured the characters.
I love shikamaru in this story. Capturing temaris venerability is not an easy thing to do but I think you did it beautifully. And her crassness. Love it.
I can imagine their relationship playing out like this. Especially the first kiss.
