Darth Gumby chapter 8 . 11/17/2018
In reality, the Colonial conditions would be a Non-Starter for the SGC. The Colonials are asking the SGC to do all the work, take all the risks, fund all the R&D...and then inform EVERYONE, all the terrorists, dictators and 3rd world crack pots like the Korean Kims about the Stargate Program, then HANDOVER control of everything to a Self-interested council that will in all likelyhood, still want the US to do all the work and fund all the military ...but expect all the benefits and rewards.

This is the IOA all over again, only this one includes Zimbabwe, Iran and North Korea.

This is the equivalent of the SGC telling the Colonials they will give them gate travel and Asgard Energy Shields, but they have to share it with Tom Zarek and the Cylons.

If the SGC has any diplomats at all, they should be able to explain this to the colonials.
D72 chapter 23 . 8/22/2018
Yeah, it was kinda kick everyone in the balls constantly, and carter got put on a bus.

At least we got to see Lee once, and he was competent.

I enjoyed the fic, minus kobol.
D72 chapter 18 . 8/22/2018
So which one of them is gonna die? Because those dick gods kinda held that price in blood thing seriously. Crashdown, elosha, zarek's thugs.
D72 chapter 16 . 8/22/2018
The final five are pretty much the cause of the series, even if it did give us far too many Sam Anders scenes.

I liked him as a sports ball man, but as a deus ex machina, he was super annoying.
D72 chapter 15 . 8/22/2018
It's frak, but I can understand a spellchecker mangling it.
D72 chapter 14 . 8/22/2018
Eh, the expies seem nice enough, and it is super rare to find bsgsg fics that don't turn into religious pissing wars.
D72 chapter 13 . 8/22/2018
Projection and downloading were made possible by the silicate pathways in the humanoid cylon nervous system. Or jamming a wire in sharon's arm (ouch)

Head six and Head Baltar were "angels" steering colonial development, and I hate them.

So it's not just brain wifi.

And I realize I'm probably writing this into the aether of the past.
Azrael chapter 1 . 7/12/2018
No wonder this storry flopped, you have started it based on some ridiculously wrong assumptions - that the galaxy is an empty place.
Goa'uld in canon own tens of MILLIONS of planets, not hundreds - remember, there are over 100 billion stars in this galaxy, with at least 100 million possible habitable planets, so no need for terraforming.
orionastro chapter 23 . 7/4/2018
a very good story so far, I hope you can continue and develop further the hardly wait for the next chapters
john777 chapter 23 . 6/10/2018
keep writing
darkfinder chapter 7 . 4/23/2018
what ever happen to sg-4 they never seem to be mention again .
Armiture chapter 23 . 4/19/2018
I was really enjoying this story and I agree that you jumped the gun by having Ba'al find out and attack the Colonies so soon. (Jumping the shark means the story has peaked and has nowhere to go but down.)

If you feel the only way to fix it is to delete a few of the more recent chapters then go for it. You're the author, you can change your mind and do something different. Heck even the great Arthur C. Clarke did it with The City and the Stars! In any case thanks for the intriguing story.
Armiture chapter 13 . 4/19/2018
I know that it's too late but but borrowing characters from other shows is okay so long as they don't detract from the main characters. Borrowing tech from other shows, manga, anime or comics is also fine, just make a note of it. There's no real need to add a new crossover. Think of it as a cameo.

Also I'm sure the Colonials will soon realize that setting up one asteroid is much cheaper than setting up four. Unless they bring the Stargate and it's potential to the general public there's no way to hide four in the budget.
Armiture chapter 8 . 4/19/2018
Yes it's easy to see that they want to collect the four Stargates so they could set one up in of the four star systems in Cyrannus.

As for the radiation treatment and level, in a war of survival, the Cylons would use dirty nukes and lots of them. Not all nukes are like those dropped on Japan. I recall the furor over the "neutron bomb" that was designed to produce an intense, lethal burst of radiation with minimal fallout and blast damage.
A Reader chapter 14 . 2/19/2018
I just wanted to point out that in everything that I could find for the colonial system was that it was a double binary system so why did you shrink it one star? Basically it was four star systems.
