Your Hermione is rather unbelievable since she lived through a war and seven years of being in mortal peril of some kind or other. People with that kind of trauma are hypervigilant, and their reflexes are shockingly sharp. If this had been a muggle AU with no war it would be a bit more likely...

Also, Hermione was the constant common sense of the trio- so how come suddenly she's Sheldon Cooper?

I'm starting to get really tired of every writer thinking a man being an asshole is cute. He does something fucked up, it rude as hell, and expects her to listen? If you're gonna write Hermione, at least have her reactions the same. She definitely wouldn't listen, and is smart enough to apparate faster than most, none of what's happened makes sense. And how he acts doesn't make him likeable. He rarely admits he was wrong he crossed a line, and even when he does he doesn't care how it affects her. Abusive much. Great way for a relationship to start
