![]() ![]() ![]() This explains why Guinan was trying to enter the Nexus in the movie Generations and the “dealings” she had with Q. “How the mighty have fallen.” That’s exactly what she said to him in Deja Q. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Brilliant story; wonderfully written. A Plus! |
![]() ![]() ![]() And she gets her revenge! Well done! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't like the title otherwise this story was very good. Guinan and Q both have contradictions in their characters as opposed to how we normally know them - contradictions not inconsistancies! People change with age and you did a good job of portraying a young Q and a young Guinan. Watching the episode after I read this made it even more enjoyable. Thanks |

![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, this is really good. You write the interaction between the younger Guinan and Q really well, although I don't really see Q as being that downright evil...more like a mischevious spoiled kid. I like the idea of Guinan's people taking new names throughout their lives as their roles in society change. The concept of them having almost as much power as the Q, but with a very different philosophy on the proper use of that power, was cool too. |
![]() ![]() what an amazing story! you are an awesome writer. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was absolutely awesome! I really loved the way you wrote Q's character! You are truly an awesome writer! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good God, Alara Rogers. This is amazing. It's a very well-written story that just grabs you and draws you in. It would work as an original story even if you didn't know who Mairi and Ashke were-classic sci-fi/drama/psychology stuff (augh, I can't think of the right word, but this is like those famous short stories that are acknowledged as classic lit that everyone should read. No, really! And of course, knowing that it's Guinan and Q makes it even better. I've never thought of Q as being quite that. . . . evil. . . .but then again, as Terry Pratchett says, the worst kind of evil isn't the kind that actively hates you-it's the kind that just has its own agenda and *doesn't care* how that affects you. You do bloody good description of the Borg, by the way, and the dialogue between Q/Ashke and Guinan/Mairi is awesome-you can FEEL the tension between them. *chuckles slightly* I would say this was the best Guinan-fic I've ever read, except that that wouldn't sound like much of a compliment because it's practically the *only* Guinan fic I've ever read. :) But it's probably in the top 10 best Trekfics I've read. Very cool! -Nenya |

![]() ![]() WOW! That was really good...is Mairi Guinan? I really liked it...you're a good writer! |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was a good story! I thought it was an actual episode for a second, it seemed so real! Everything was perfect. Good job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() OH. MY. GOD. That was BEYOND amazing! I am so incredibly impressed! This story was wonderfully written, wonderfully everything...amazing plot, sharp, amazing dialogue...I'm putting this on my favorites, it was...there's no word for it! (And if this isn't a rave review, I don't know what is!) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed your story. I've always wanted to know more about Guinan. Most people only write about the main characters. Keep writing. |
