That's so beautiful, so touching!
| GhostDetective chapter 1 . 11/22/2010
I love this story. I watched the end of afterlife a few days ago and I almost cried then, just as I'm tearing up now. A truly beautiful piece. (;_;)

*sniffs and takes another tissue from her box*
You know. There's a deep wide chasm between *watching* and *reading* that scene. I was so depressed and heart-broken at the end of 'A name written in water' because the final moments between Robert and Alison were perfect, yes, healing and supportive, and full of so much comfort and trust...but oh so ambiguous and subtle regarding the Alertness that it left me a bit disappointed.
However, through this beautifully written revision of those moments, you have read their eyes, translated their gestures and make sense out of their silences, so that it is perfectly clear the deep longing and love they felt for each other despite not being able to express it openly :)
Thank you very much for giving us this piece of heaven :)

OMG! What a beautiful story! Oh, I miss Robert so much...
| Isa chapter 1 . 1/23/2007
This is really lovely. Very sad that Robert & Alison never had the chance to tell each other how they really felt.
Hope you write more!
