| 999 the 9th chapter 1 . 3/30/2013
I liked the brief friendship between Bowser and and Luigi. Stupid Kamak for ruining everything.
| rene10 chapter 1 . 6/25/2012
Aw... poor Bowser!
| Elemental Queen chapter 1 . 8/11/2011
That was sweet and kind of sad too
| Michael Lockheart chapter 1 . 3/6/2011
Poor Bowser. :(
| Two Stooges chapter 1 . 11/27/2010
This story definitely put me on Bowser's side, rather than Mario's.
| Freida5 chapter 1 . 12/28/2008
Aww, I felt so sorry for little Bowser... but I did like the story. It was great how you meshed the boss battle from that game so well into the writing. Just another aspect of the Mario universe that I always enjoy seeing.
| xWolfandBowserFanxX chapter 1 . 12/7/2008
I love this story.)
It just makes me angry the way Nothing bad ever happens to the bad things happen to Bowser and Kamek..(
| netbreaker0 chapter 1 . 10/9/2008
Man you have a talent for making me care about the evil guys. If only things had tunred out diffrently.
| GodOfWurstwasser chapter 1 . 7/24/2008
Interesting interpretation indeed. The Boss-fight seen out of Bowser's perspective was an interesting insight, and the style was again very convincing.
It was fitting your image of Bowser and Kamek that you developed in your other stories. Yet - somehow - I was disappointed of Bowser in this one. Him being just a spoiled, yet weak child that longs for a friend, and the somewhat depressing ending just didn't fit my taste.
Don't get me wrong - it is a good story, I just didn't find it as enjoyable as your other stories I read so far.
| Terrapin44 chapter 1 . 9/28/2007
Pretty cool. Nice to Bowser's point of view in that game. Now he doesn't seem like the monster he was made to look like. This is really good work.
| Cyndi chapter 1 . 7/13/2007
Little bit of concrit first: you said loose and loosing a lot, I think you meant lose. Losenot winning. Loosenot tight. ;) Just wanted to help.
Now...POOR BOWSER :( He just wanted a friend and Kamek totally used him! No wonder he's so bitter towards Mario and stuff now, he probably feels like he can't really trust anybody. Great work, you made me feel for him.
| ebtwisty9 chapter 1 . 4/29/2007
My goodness, this is, no doubt, the best Mario story I've read for quite some time, let alone Bowser story! Your theories are very compelling and make a lot of sense, and the story is told so well. Fantastic dialouge and characterizations, stunning detail, just plain wonderful writing.
It really is a shame I didn't find this 'till now, it really is a diamond in the rough! Great job, I especially loved how you characterized Baby Bowser. He was fantasticly done, spot-on, great job!
| MikariStar chapter 1 . 2/23/2007
Very nice story. There are some differences from the game but that's part of fanfiction. :D I liked the detail you put into this and the insight provided into Bowser's childhood.
| NUTCASE71733 chapter 1 . 2/1/2007
I gotta admit, I was kinda skeptical about this when I first saw it. Most people who say Bowser isn't the evil one in the Mario series tends to take the argument to the fanboy level. I'm glad to see I met someone who's different from the others I've met. Those guys in question blame it all an the Mario brothers when actually (and this fanfic proves it) it's Kamek who's the guilty party.
Of course, even if he hadn't made that prediction, which ultimately would have spared Bowser this defeat, I'm sure Bowser would have still gone down the path of evil in the end seeing as Kamek's vision stated the Mario brothers being heroes in the future anyway.
| Ben Kitsune chapter 1 . 1/29/2007
You know, I honestly have to say that this was quite interesting. It provides a bit of insight on the whole "Bowser-is-not-a-bad-guy" routine.
I would have appriciatied a more...elaborate story, though. A bit deeper into the mind of Kamek probably would have provided a bit of a background into the fic. You could have also expanded upon Bowser's loneliness, too. Provide a few detailed examples of him trying to play...attempting to entertain himself, and failing miserably. I like how you ended it...though, such a story could greatly be expanded on. Just a few suggestions.
All in all, however, for a one-shot, it's not a bad story! Not bad at all! Keep it up.
