| Guest chapter 1 . 5/9
Maddeningly and enthralling and absolutely disturbing. I can't. I really can't explain why I've reviewed this because ohgod is this scary and terrifying and ohsoplausible in an alternate, modern au. Bye. You've changed me and I don't know exactly how, like cogs that shift ever so lightly, the thrum of an engine that just starts in the middle of a maze of a thousand cars and now I'm grasping for metaphors and poetry and this is worrisome.
| Guardian of the Nakano chapter 1 . 7/30/2012
Absolutely perfect. Well-written, of course, just as all of your stories are. This is one of the few KisaIta stories that I like (See: Love). You've infected me with this pairing, you know? I'll never recover without long, tedious rehabilitation. And even then, will it ever purge my body of the unconventional beauty? Hell no.
Fucking awesome, as always Quillslinger.
| Barunka chapter 1 . 10/21/2011
This is decadently gorgeous.
| My Chemical Music Box chapter 1 . 1/9/2011
Water metaphors - I like it! Especially "dishwater light"; it brings so many awesome connotations XD I actually really liked this, despite your apparent doubts in your AN, and I think, under the circumstances, it fit Kisame really well. Great work!
| Uchihas apprentice chapter 1 . 11/28/2010
yet again, I comment that this story is fascinating...in a ..me kind of way
I dont think I have anything else to say...just awesome-sad-...-sumtin...
| deletedaccount3 chapter 1 . 5/17/2010
Never thought of them as an actual pairing. However, you make their story so sad . . . yet so cute and interesting (mostly sad though). I like you writing style and hope you keep up the awesome work. )
| EvilMonkeyGenius chapter 1 . 11/8/2009
Grim and... wel descriptive.. kind of dark
| jag finns inte chapter 1 . 8/12/2009
I'm not exactly sure what to say about that but i figured I should write something and that something is... you were so on crack when you wrote this but it was still awesome and slightly depressing, and thats really it...
| darkenedmirrors.softfocus chapter 1 . 7/27/2009
Gah, this was just so slick, so grimy, fucking back-alley gorgeous.
Where did the title come from?
| you.broke.a.promise chapter 1 . 8/12/2008
I love the detail you put into this.
| WhimsicalShmoo chapter 1 . 8/11/2008
Very unique and original...I love it
| shrieking minties 51 chapter 1 . 6/6/2008
Wow, man... you certainly weren't in your right mind at all while writing this...
But that doesn't mean that you weren't in the right frame of mind XD
This story is so... raw and dirty and wrong... and so beautiful because of that. The imagery is unbelievably perfect- the plot and the subtlety of the words is truly a work of art. This is definitely the best KisaIta I've ever read...
I especially love how blunt the ending was. It added to that certain...rawness of the whole fic beautifully.
| Starriecat chapter 1 . 5/10/2008
Bitter and harsh, sexy and sad. Interesting story. Predictably enough, Itachi didn't show emotion even when Kisame was freaking abusing him; his lack of reaction made me feel less sorry that Kisame was-well-freaking abusing him. XD' Itachi could drive anyone to that sort of frustration. o_x;
Loved this line:
"Kisame jerked his hand away like he’d been burned, and scowled. “Yes, that’s exactly it,” he said, skittering with sarcasm, “I’m madly in love with you,” and turned to face the wall."
Plus hated Itachi for asking, "You're not falling in love with me, are you?" before it. Kinda sucks for Kisame how clearly unrequited the relationship is. Poor sucker, falling in love with a guy with as much personality as a log. xD It was kinda interesting seeing the story from the perspective of a guy who just doesn't care if he kills people-not in one of those angsty, jaded perspectives of ninjas who've become hardened over time, but from a guy who's used to it and just doesn't give a fuck. Not evil, just got no morals. (The part about killing Itachi's family I mean-the unaffected way it was talked about.)
Plus the ending was perfect. Good job. ;3
| Nozomi-sama chapter 1 . 10/29/2007
It was a tasteful, the characters well portrayed to the point where you can almost see them in your mind's eye, and the writing just flowed so smoothly.
The way you write angst is just so peacefully sad. It's just the right kind of soft and enough to get that sad feeling but not the tears. I like it.
| Bloodied-san chapter 1 . 9/5/2007
That was very, very well written! I ADORE IT!
