I'd never read a story where Naruto and Sasuke took it somewhere beyond this weirdly intense friendship they have in canon, because I was not sure how it'd work out (and a bit because the idea of friendship and loyalty on that level appeals personally), but this perfect. I think it's how in character it felt... as in, those two dumb-asses! One is emotionally constipated, and the other deliberately emotionally oblivious, and how in hell or heaven do they ever, ever, manage to get across to each other! And still. Yeah, it was a great depiction of their cannon dynamic and it was lovely and hilarious. |
