Wow... That was the most unique, amazing... Awesome chapter... I love it so far. I love the dynamics with the brothers... I love Dean. I just love it

I was prepared to hate this AU but 1 chapter and you already sucked me in.
I think they would grow up to be a lot less safe hunting without John's lifetime paramilitary drills but I like how you've given Dean abandonment issues even with the best conventional treatment.

Nice. I liked seeing how much Mikey had missed the boys, and how happy he was to see them again. You also did a good job showing how the time on the road hunting has started to bleed Sam and Dean's personalities from what they were in this AU into what they are on the show. Nice job.
It was cute to see Dean at the party, and Mikey and Sam have to usher him away so he wouldn't get in a fight. Nice role reversal there. I did feel bad for Mikey, that he felt so lonely and abandoned. I can't believe they didn't talk at all for 5 months. I'd have thought Dean would've called to check on his little brother, at least. That was surprising to me, with how close they are in this AU.
I like the idea of them all going on a roadtrip together, hunting evil. Can't wait to see where you go with that.
| bhoney chapter 4 . 8/25/2009
I wish you hadn't skipped 6 whole years before this segment, I'd have liked to see more of the intervening years-Dean moving out, Sam deciding to go to college, the boys relating to each other amidst all that.
This was a good chapter. Liked Mikey and Dean flanking Sam at the funeral. Liked Mikey yelling at Dean for looking down when he talked to him. I'm glad Sam figured out he's adopted, too, but kinda surprised Mikey didn't know yet. I wonder if it will make him feel a little left out, like Sam and Dean have a closer bond because they're blood. Apparently, finding out about being adopted hasn't shaken Sam's confidence any. I'd love to see them all go on the road together, hunting evil. I'm really intrigued where you'll take this.
| bhoney chapter 3 . 8/25/2009
Hmm...a nightmare, eh? I sense that this AU and canon are about to collide. I really like Jess, and your portrayal of her and Sam's relationship.
| bhoney chapter 2 . 8/24/2009
I love that Sam "screens" Dean's teachers before school starts. I'd love to see that in here-Sam talking to them, how it goes. I hope you show us Dean starting college and the adjustments it causes. It could be cool to see. I'm glad that Sam and Mikey talked Dean into going, glad Dean finally realized that he's not a burden to Mike and Kate. And Kate's right-Sammy is a force of nature! LOL

It was really nice to see Mike's POV for this chapter. I especially liked the younger boys speaking up on the therapy issue, and the fallout of the confrontation with John. Nice job!

| charis-kalos chapter 4 . 3/6/2009
Oh, Jess is dead. Well, I guess that was kinda always going to happen, but it's always sad. And now Sam and Dean are going looking for John. I wonder what he's like in this world. Harder than "our" John, I imagine, if he left Dean and Sam with Mike and Kate.
| charis-kalos chapter 3 . 3/4/2009
Dean with alcohol is "our" Dean? Interesting. I suppose alcohol is an inhibition-loosener, and poor Dean has a lot of inhibitions to lose, but the fact that he can't remember anything the next day isn't so good. Hmm, do we encourage him to continue drinking to help him relax, or try to find other, less potentially destructive, ways of relaxing? (Sorry, went into college chaplain mode there.)
