I’ve read this story several times and keep coming back to read it again. I love it so much. Stories that show outside POV of Shepard’s badassness are my thing. Loved the Satedan swearing and rude gestures and how you portrayed Sheppard and Ronans relationship as viewed by outsiders, I think you managed that very respectfully and with humour.
Will be back to read again soon

This was surprisingly fun. Loved the military and the Rodney Elizabeth parts. Good job with the personalities. Was a pleasure to read.

I love John trying to teach the newbies a thing or two. I love that he's so good in a fight, he stabs a Wraith instinctively without even remembering. I liked the way John gave Miller a dressing down (each time, too).
And this:
"So, John, do you think you got through to the annoying Lieutenant Miller?" Elizabeth asked lightly, trying to distract her colleague with conversation.

"No." Answered both Sheppard and Ronon in unison.

I love it when these two are in sync.

I loved the way the newbies get to see the wonder of John Sheppard even if Miller may never really appreciate it. Never leave a man behind has added meaning when you are or have been the one in danger of being left, but Atlantis requires a different mindset and not everyone at the SGC will be adaptable enough.

okay... wow. this is probably one of my fav SGA fics. I've never read a story that covers anything close to this - new recruits, how Sheppard gains their respect and devotion, etc - but it definitely makes sense, since he is head of all military operations on Atlantis. he is such a well written and complex character already, but this story only added to that; ten-fold. aaaand since I'm a Shep whumper, the h/c was very much appreciated. ;D honestly, I really love this. your writing is precise and clear; not showy but descriptive and your grasp of the characters is absolutely perfect. this is definitely a new favorite story. ;) xx

I love love LOVE the use of Satedan cussing and offensive gestures. It really drives home the fact that, like a lot of things in this galaxy, Ronan is inherently DIFFERENT, and even the show lost a bit of that awareness sometimes.

This is one of my favorite SGA stories so far :-)
