This was an excellent work. My eyes were filled with tears for most of the reading and I must admit I adore being forced to feel something in a story. Beautifully written, syntax and grammar were spot on. And damn, that was so miserable I can hardly stand it! Well done!
| Terr chapter 1 . 3/28/2010
Amazingly written, heartbreaking, poignant. I need not say more.
| Masked Vendetta chapter 1 . 2/9/2009
Wow...I'm speechless. I love everything about it - the way the writing flows, the way Sun Ce repeats his words and the descriptions of his ''spirit''…the heartbreak that Zhou Yu can't reply.
Sorry, not much of a review, but I had to say that I enjoyed reading it, instead of just passing it by.
Also, I’m glad I didn't search out the song while I read it...that could have been a recipe for disaster as far as tissue supplies go.
Thank you for writing!
| Crystallia Silver chapter 1 . 10/20/2007
I received a recommendation for this story from a friend who knows my interest about the pairing and I feel like I should write a comment. I don't know how else to describe it, but each paragraph gives a very powerful impression which doesn't have to do entirely with the element of sadness but also with something deeper. In the end, Da Qiao concludes that Zhou Yu has lost his heart but I see that this doesn't stop him from experiencing vehement emotions which give the impression that they now are more tense and have became uncontrollable after the loss. I feel that Zhou Yu hasn't lost his heart as Da Qiao says but the tranquillity of his emotions due to his partner's absence.
Sorry if I tire you with my text, but the story was so strong that made me want to explore the meanings more deeply.

I've read this before but I must have forgotten to review. I think this is simply superb. Your writing moves me to tears. It's excellent amazing and you can just feel so sad for him. I loved it, and wonderful ending. Please write more of this pairing. If you have any more ideas after Secession, which was totally breathtaking! Thank-You.

I don't know if my words could ever express what I felt, but... let me just try to do that.
Wonderful. Absolute. Deep, and infinite.
“See me,” Sun Ce is whispering. “Feel me. Hear me. I’m right here, Yu. Can’t you hear me?”
The best line ever...
And Da Qiao's words are wonderful too. With you, her beautiful personality can only move the reader.
The way all the generals act is wonderful too. As meaningful as Da Qiao's words, as Zhou Yu himself.
I think that, one day, Zhou Yu will find his heart again... and with even more deep feelings than before. Such stories of love never ends like that... they continue forever.

Gorgeous, as always. And beautifully poetic.
And sad... ;_;... very, very sad...
As always, thank you for posting this

You've done it again. You've brought me to tears. Some gift with words that you have! Its really great, I'm glad to be able to read them!
Poor Zhou Yu. I have to agree with Da Qiao at the end of this. Its very true! I love how you have the not so far off opinion of the children in this. Neverthe less, it makes me just as sad as Secession. Please make more stories soon! I'm always eagerly awaiting them!
