Ya know, at the beginning of the story, I thought Smith was Cross. Now I'm kinda glad I'm wrong... Though if I was in Mana's place there wouldn't /be/ a body. Though I'd have to find a place to hide the flame thrower and I'd have to vacuum up the ashes... 'Course then I'd have to get rid of the smell :/ And to quote Abridged Kirito (SAO) "You see, there's no need to wonder where your god is! 'Cause he's right here, and he's fresh out of mercy." Something that Mana said reminded me of it And little Allen! Oh he's so very messed up and needs a hug. And it seems that my go-to response when something bad happens to one of my favorite characters is to hug them... To me, this fic seems like a prequel to the series, just sayin'. And I knew his girlfriend was gonna leave! I never really liked her (and nether did Allen.)... I hope nothing bad happens to him again. Though knowing his luck, it's likely something bad is gonna happen to him again before the end of the story :/

I know you posted this story a long time ago, but I just have to say it was probably one of the best -Man stories I've ever read. It's written really well. Actually, if you changed the story up a bit - like changed the part about the akuma into something else and changed Allen's and Mana's names - you could probably make this into an actual book.

Quite bittersweet with a nice ending; it's interesting to think that Mana and Allen had a life before the circus. Of course, Mana ended up dying differently in this fic, but I believe that it was a nice way for the issue of his death to finally be solved. At the very least, he had time to reconcile with his imminent demise. I also liked the idea you took with Allen going into convulsions because of his innocence. :)
All I can say is that I rather enjoyed this. There were times when I thought of all the other fics waiting in the other open tabs, but you managed to keep me engrossed enough in this day-to-day (not-so-normal) lifestyle that I kept reading.
