This is sooo great. At first I was a bit sceptical about keeping Hermione ans Severus in character (telling someone about his feelings isn't classical Severus), but you've managed very well I think.
And I loved this chapter with the included thoughts in between the lines.
Very well written! Excited for the rest.

I have been following this story for years and i know you have always mentioned how busy you were. I would love it if you could just let us know how you wanted it to end.

What happened? Is this it? Is there a part II on your profile that I'm missing? I was really enjoying this tale. Its a softer post-war take on the SSHG pairing that I haven't seen done often enough.

Hermione talking about children to her parents means she thinks this relationship is about as permanent as can be-and no doubt immensely reassuring to Snape.
I like her letter to Harry, too. The Boy Who Lived is going to have to decide if Ron and the Weasleys are more important to him than what Hermione says, and the truth. If he really thinks Snape is the bravest man he ever knew...is he willing to act that brave himself?

Wow, what a great story!
Witty, romantic, true to the books, I love it!
Please keep on writing, can't wait to see what's gonna happen next!

I've been enjoying reading your story. I love this particular ship, when it's handled with care, as you seem to be doing. Very nice and easy to read.
As I have a background that includes the edible and medicinal herbs, I though I'd correct a small misunderstanding you may have picked up.
I've always found Wild Sorrel to have a slightly lemony flavor, stronger with age. Wild sorrel flower buds can be picked and pickled to be a substitute for capers, though I never saw the purpose in having a substitute for something very few people actually know about.
Domestic Sorrel is a completely different experience. It's milder, almost to the point of being lettuce, but toothsome.
I know that both the wild and domestic versions contain oxalic acid, and to differing degrees of concentration depending on the age of the plant, the condition of the soil and many other factors. The worst you could expect from eating too much sorrel, other than an upset stomach and the trots (if you aren't used to the nature of the plant) is the formation of kidney stones, easily dodged by increasing your water intake.
The amount of sorrel and average person would have to consume to be considered poisonous, for any other reason, is almost the same as the amount of poppy seeds the average person would have to consume to get a positive on an opiate test, or the amount of apple seeds the average person would have to consume to die from cyanide poisoning. Yes, it could happen. The probability, though is so low as to be nearly non-existent.
Just a minor point.
I look forward to reading through the next chapters and discovering the excitement sure to follow!
Thank you for writing this chapter and this story.

I hope you don't abandon this story. I really like it. It offers something I havent seen here before. It's astory about unrequited love that turned into more. I have read a lot of fanfics about Sevione but his is the first to show Severus in love and wooing Hermione without even trying. It all just falls into to place so well and it's such a sweet story. I truly hope that you will write more.

Your writing breaks my heart, only to mend it anew - I wish I had the words to properly express how beautiful your works are! I've been a fan of your works for so long, at the sensitivity of delving into difficult but necessary topics, at the creative plots, and at the brilliant emotional depth of your characterisation (Hermione is pure and warm, and Severus is gut-wrenchingly beautiful). Thank you for taking the time to write such wonderful stories!

I loved this so much. The simplicity of it is refreshing and works so well. No dark lord, no convoluted plot, just a love story - their love story. It feels like real life. Hermione's progression from respect to friendship, to love.
It's been awhile since your last update and while I do hope you finish it, I understand that it's unlikely. I'm very glad we got to read the part where Hermione finally reciprocates Severus's feelings.
Thank you for sharing!

Well, he gave her fair warning of what was likely going to happen to her reputation.
But she's chosen love above all other things.
And so has Snape.
Alas, Ginny Weasley isn't done with her yet (she knows better than to attack Snape directly, she's not that much of a fool. But what she doesn't realize yet, but should have, is that Snape will defend those he loves with his life and then some. Also, Ginny should expect canaries where she least wants them).
