| LondonAfterDark chapter 1 . 5/11/2016
This is truly a beautiful and plausible take on Holmes' struggles with addiction and how Watson might have helped him through it. I loved the strength of their friendship you portray, that, while of a more personal nature than anything the doctor could have written about, still fleshed out what we know of them through Canon without resorting to romance or eschewing characterization. Thank you for such an enjoyable read!

Oh my, this is so GOOOD. You have captured them both perfectly and the story is truly greatly written and in my opinion very accurate. Thank you for sharing!

Fantastic story. Your voice is very Conan Doyle-esque. Excellent characterizations and interesting story.

This is really, a very good fic.
I read the description, and thought "This could be okay" so I read it. You easily surpassed any expectation on my part. I absolutely love this. You really do have a gift; please keep giving it to the world because we all appreciate it :)
Something about this story makes me feel very... good. I think it's something about the way Holmes finds out Watson will always be there for him.
I can't possibly read this as preslash, although I can understand why some would; I see it as a really good friendship story.
When I get an account, this is going in favs :)
| Tegi chapter 1 . 7/31/2012
I... I don't know what to say. That was so beautiful, and realistic, and entrancing, that as cliche as it might be, I really felt that I was there. You have an amazing gift, and you should be very proud of yourself.
Thank you for giving me the chance to read this.
| DarkVixen28 chapter 1 . 12/29/2011
This story has become something of a...comfort? to me. I relate with Holmes very much when it comes to accepting or seeking out help and being able to hold a conversation with someone when the desire hits but not really having many people I consider friends. When I'm feeling particularly down I can read this and think that if he can accept help at his worst, albeit very different from mine, then maybe I can too.

Very tastefully done. In finest tradition of Canon, slash lovers have to read between the lines and use own imagination. Leaving dignity of traditional story lovers in tact. Voice of Characters remains true, easy to envision as "true" missing info. Thank you.
| KyuuketsukiNekko chapter 1 . 2/18/2010
I like. I really love your writing style for both Holmes AND Watson and I hope to read more of your work with them. Or at least if you decide to post anything more! Kudos on yet another great story! Keep up the amazing work!
| Isis the Sphinx chapter 1 . 1/30/2010
This could be considered some pretty good bromance. Wonderfully, wonderfully done. I absolutely loved it.
| LinZE chapter 1 . 1/8/2010
a lovely insight
thanks for sharing
| Eyebrows2 chapter 1 . 9/11/2009
Sweet yet gruesome - no romanticising of withdrawal here! Loved this story, all the better for no smutty denoument (much as I enjoy a smutty denoument at other times) as it workd so well on all levels. Thanks!
| Ennairam Atrum Austerus chapter 1 . 6/26/2009
That was really cute, well done!
| ShiftingWinds125 chapter 1 . 6/19/2009
That was a really good story! Watson is there for Holmes through thick and thin! I love it! You did a really good job!

-EXCELLENT- story! I normally loath one pagers, as more often than not they are haphazardly written and lack substance. Somehow you managed to pack an incredible amount into one page.
It is comforting to see that a man can have a friend that close without him being a lover. Not that I am opposed to the relationship a lot of people write them in, mind you. But you have actually managed to capture the essence behind a true friendship.
