I like this, I just wish you didn't turn Lucius in the last chapter.

I dont quite like the fact that he thinks Voldemort is correct just because Harry dosnt have enough facts, such a Gryffindor thing to do really, base your opinion without having all the facts, he dosnt even know enough muggles to make the decision, nor witches/wizards

While I agree that Hogwarts does a bad job at education for all students, but maybe more so the muggle born, 40.000 Galleons is a substantial amount. A Hogwarts year consists of about 40 students. Even if all of them were muggle born, which they are not, that would be 1.000 Galleons per student. Earlier 100 Galleons was considered a generous amount for school supplies for a wealthy student, so what would this act provide that would cost more than than 1.000 Galleons?

It seems that Arthur has no problem to use magic to avoid to pay the taxi driver.
Similar to Ron in the infamous epilog using magic to get his drivers license.

About Dumbledore's claim that he didn't mean to use Legilimency (not that I would believe him), the implication is even worse, as it means that he does it regularly without even thinking about it.

What I don't understand is why Harry goes to the Dursleys. Yes, Dumbledore wants it, but Dumbledore gave no reason why his opinion should matter.

Harry is related to Merlin and Gryffindor. So is probably every other pureblood alive. Both lived thousand years ago, in that time either every family is related to every other, or they have even more extreme inbreeding. Actually Harry's grandmother or grand grandmother was a Black, so that would also explain his metamorphmagus abilities.

Narcissia can't believe that her sister never told, but obviously she didn't tell Draco either.

Well, Harry is muggle raised and is equally ignorant. By this logic, he should also not be allowed to Hogwarts. And also his mother, although I suspect we will find out she is a pureblood, probably a Black, it was not known when it was time for her to go to school.
Instead of denying muggle borns, this joke of a school should actually educate them. (Ghost for history, Snape for Potions, ...)

Harry: "You want to be a Slytherin, think before you speak next time"
That is true. Slytherins are supposed to be cunning and ambitious, but Draco's most cunning seems to be "when my father hears this", while Crabbe and Goyle have the ambition to speak two complete sentences.

Of course, Harry here also doesn't display the Slytherin qualities.
First, he physically attacks Draco, which after years of experiences with his relatives up until a few days ago would have been a bad idea, and I'm sure wizards also don't like to be attacked. Next he reveals that he is a metamorphmagus, and unregistered, which is probably illegal. Draco might be the greatest gossip, or a true Slyitherin and use it against Harry.
I guess you needed something like this to get Harry and Draco together, but it doesn't make sense to Harry to trust so easily after ten years with the Dursleys.
Maybe stop Draco being canon stupid and introduce himself politely, Harry introduces himself but claims standard glamors, and proceed from there.

Am I detecting a hint of the Fablehaven series? If so then good on you mate I loved that series!

OK, I think this is a great story and I really dislike the Malfoys. Normally by now your typos would have caused me to move on to another story. You don't seem to know the difference between then and than or quiet, quite, and quit.

Well first year is over and I thought I should leave a review for your good work before I move on. When I first started to read your fiction I was a bit reluctant to read after chapter 3 because it looked like some of the silly "Harry born evil and will be the next dark lord before he even left Hogwarts and he kills puppies for fun" but I decided to give it a chance. The story became better and better from that point on and I am truly enjoying it right know. It is by far in my top 50 list (It is actually pretty high on the list since I read more then 10000 fictions on HP :) ). So keep up the good work. Thank you for publishing the fiction.
