Oh I'm so happy to have found this! I'm off to read the next chapter but curious who you envision as your Babs? Thank you for sharing.

I never review things, but I think this is spectacular. Thanks for the great read, I'm really enjoying it. Solid and consistent characterization. Bravo.

What about Batgirl and her rubber and latex body armor?
| liesmyth chapter 12 . 2/8/2013
This was amazing. Wonderful. And then I'm kinda short on synonyms I can use to say how good this story was. Masterful, maybe. Really, thanks for sharing.

Hi! I read this story back in June but totally failed to send you my love via review.
I have been rec'ing this story to anyone I come across who either reads Batfic or loves Barbara Gordon. You write a fantastic Barbara. I really enjoyed all of the twists in the story that allowed it to take place within Dark Knight, but maintained an original take on the material. I also loved the dynamic you built between both Barbara/Bruce and Barbara/Batman. You were also able to capture the sheer horror of a city subjected to the madness of the Joker.
You tell a full story within these 12 chaps but I've always wanted to read more of your characters. I just saw that you're writing a sequel which I can't wait to read!
Thanks for writing and sharing!
Much love, Althea

Oh, I loved this so much. Your writing style is gorgeous and a little sad and it gives me some serious feels, as the kids say. I've been quietly lamenting the lack of Batgirl in the Nolan trilogy, even while fully aware that the character was unlikely to have been done justice if she had been included, but this makes up for it, I think.
So glad I stayed up to read this, a thought which I'll have to keep reminding myself of as I suffer through my nine-hour day at uni tomorrow. ;)

Good job! I like it. Fast-paced and well-written.
| MaddHatter12 chapter 1 . 7/27/2012
this story is really awesome, I absolutely love the pacing
but I was wondering what made you decide to make Barbara a brunette, not a redhead, and Gordon's niece and not his daughter?

I just spent my day reading this instead of studying for some very important exams ... AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER! This story is BRILLIANCE! I love it so much and I love your Barbara so much :') I'm hoping for a sequel ... actually I'm PRAYING for a sequel to avoid more study ..PLEASE! I beg you from the bottom of my tiny little heart write more? I don't think I've ever been so satisfied with a story like this ever before. I usually hope for a romance and am then dissapointed with the result, but this is'nt like that. This story explores the truly touching relationship between two almost kind of friends that have major potential for a nice and good boyfriend girlfriend thing that could happen in the future and it just keeps you hoping for that little bit more 3 Thank you so much for having written this wonderfull piece .. All I can say now is ... SEQUEL! Pleae and thank you! :D xxxx
| Heise chapter 12 . 1/17/2012
This is great. :)
I loved how you made the plot your own. It made me wonder how you were going to deal with some of the things that were to happen in DK.
I liked how it ends... not with a bang but a whimper. Love it.
My own criticism would be the pace towards the ending; the penultimate/denouement chapters...it was a bit too fast for my liking. I think you could have filled in the gaps a little bit more. Just a little bit of quiet time/down time.
Great job. I like how Batman and Barbara had their moments; hugs, Bruce Wayne having her on his mind; but they didn't have a hard-to-believe ending together...like, I like this ending.
I'll be looking forward to a sequel! :)

Hey, I've wanted to review this earlier, but it didn't work on my phone, shoddy AT&T internet connections and all, ugh,
but I just wanted to say I love this. I really do. It's a breath of fresh air. I originally pass this over because I didn't think much of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, and I was just prejudiced and thought this would be some lame superheroine shot. This wasn't.
The first thing I noticed about That Which is Infinite is the tense. It's an interesting choice-present tense in a drama genre story? But it was a great choice. The tense makes the story seem quiet, thoughtful. This story sounds like the humming of an air conditioner in a silent house, or like the inside of a library. There's just something soft and sweet and melancholy about the tone of this story in present tense-and the times you spend on each character leaves the impression that they are longing for something. It's very very pretty. Good choice on the present tense.
And the second thing I wanted to say is, I love your OC. Barbara Gordon-she is sweet and smart and humble. My taste for personalities tends to lean towards those types. I love her. And I can understand Bruce/Batman's affection. It sucks when an author's OC is a complete bitch or uppity princess who thinks she's too good for Bruce Wayne because she "lives in the Narrows" and knows what "REAL people" are like or whatever... ok, so I mean I understand Bruce Wayne isn't a very attractive person... moral-character-wise, I guess, but it doesn't mean that girls should just bash on him and judge him. They don't know him, AT ALL. And I like that Barbara isn't judgemental about Bruce Wayne's hobbies. It's very refreshing and nice.
Great job. I love reading this. I had a really really really busy day but between classes, lunch, waiting for appointments I'd been reading this on my phone. I love this.
Thank you so much for writing.

I was originally directed to this story from a review praising your work on Livejournal, noting that it was “one of the best written Barbara and Bruce fictions they had seen in a while.” It is safe to say that I am thoroughly glad that I clicked the link, having loved with much interest this titillating piece of work. It was nice to see you integrate Barbara into the Nolan-verse Batman, and with no exaggeration on my behalf, having done it in a wonderfully believable manner. What impressed me more were the subtle ties you made to Barbara’s Oracle persona. While most would have probably donned her in a cape and mask, it was interesting to see you edge Barbara into Bruce’s life via a less ‘heroic’ manner. Needless to say, I enjoyed this piece of work and patiently await the sequel. Thank you for writing this, and congratulations on finish it. Regards, DN.
