I wonder if you'll even read this at all? i'm commenting on a work thats old enough that my mum had just gotten married when it came out and now in many parts of the world...im of marriageable age.

Even though this is an unfinished story it’s still my favorite. I’ve been along for the ride since it was only a few chapters long but it remains the only fic that has me coming back every year to re-read. To Josephine Darcy: thank you for writing something so special and I hope you and your family are thriving!

To the author, wherever you are: bravo. All these years later, despite not having finished the story, you deserve immense congratulations for the absolute beast that this fic is. I haven't touched fanfiction in well over a decade; I never read The Marriage Stone while it was ongoing but found myself on FFN (in 2023!) browsing stories a few days ago. Your concept made me giggle, and while I was initially sure there was no way this plot could be written believably, I was overwhelmingly proven wrong. The time and effort you put into building this story, fleshing out plot holes in the canon, and crafting believable characters is an absolute feat, and you should feel very proud of your work. I binged the entire story over the weekend. I loved Harry Potter as a teenager, but in recent years with the money grubbing franchise, JKR's abhorrent beliefs, and my own adult perspective leading me to see and acknowledge the questionable social system depicted in the HP universe, I've found it difficult to enjoy the series that was such a big part of my childhood. Especially with the game release this year, I've been feeling quite cynical. But reading your story-where queer characters are the norm not an afterthought, where Harry is made aware of the exceptional privilege he has, where Volemort feels truly vile-has brought some of the magic and enjoyment back for me. I thank you for reclaiming this universe for the people who cared about it.

Regardless of whether you ever return to publish the ending, I wish you a wonderful future, and I hope you are still writing in some capacity. You have incredible skill and talent, and I enjoyed every minute reading your story. Much love.

The Marriage Stone is for me The Best Story I have read. I return regularly every year at least twice or three times (partly in origin, partly in my native language – czech – Thanks to the wonderful translators :)) to read The Marriage Stone, and in between I listen to it on audio. It's a story that regularly attaches me with its lay lines to everything on Earth, awakening in me a belonging from which there is no escape. It has shaped my life and continues to shape it. I cannot find the words to describe, what MS means to me, and how much I need to experience its epic power again and again.

For all of this, thank you sooo much to you, Josephine Darcy, and those, who have influenced you in your life by writing The Marriage Stone. Thinking of/praying for you and your family.

Thank you for this gem. This is my first ever Harry/Snape pairing that I’ve ever read as my usual pairing is always Harmoine/Draco, etc. This was a beautifully written story and although not finished, I still enjoyed reading it and thank you for writing it.
