Absolutely amazing story. I loved how you wove the different mythologies and Beowulf into this. Such an incredible achievement to write auch a long story. I hope you are still doing ok.

It's been fifteen years since I first read this story. At first I would reread it once a year, in the winter. The Winter Lands part of the story really makes me feel like this is a story for the holidays. Now I reread it less. I can't say the last time I read it. But recently I've been thinking about it. I couldn't get it out of my mind. And I had to come back. What makes me love it the most is all the "foreshadowing." I say that with quotes because I don't mean your literal foreshadowing. I mean the throw away lines that pop up again and again. Harry wanting to paint Snape Manor red. The way you built up the hatred between Severus and Sirius but still have them working together seamlessly. Severus really need a manual for Harry. Sirius sleeping on the couch as a dog. Ron being a prude and scandalized by Hermione and Harry's discussions.

Of course all the epic moments are amazing, and stick in my mind even after all these years. But what really makes this story is all the little things that you carry through it all. It was really nice to read this again this holiday season.

I found your story while jumping from one story to another following other people’s favourite stories. I had a suspicion at chapter 50 that there was simply too many details to be wrapped up for it to be complete in 78 chapters. By chapter 60 I nearly checked to see if this story was complete but held off and by chapter 70 I had it worked out. 8 years on and I hope you see the comments and reviews and reads of your story because you created some truly wonderful scenarios and characters to play them out. Hey hun, just a quick review to say every now and then I come back to read your brilliant story. It gives me a few days of entertainment and mental chilling out knowing I'm going to get all invested in the characters and storyline. I know where it ends and I dont expect any more, I was reading when you were posting, and I reread what has been posted now.

I tried reading some of the 'continuations' but they just dont get the characters you've formed, they dont understand the tension and conflict that your writing is layered with, its just notit', and I just couldn't read them. So I just reread your story among all my other favourite stories and I'm so appreciative of the gift you've given and left for us to enjoy.

I hope this review notification gives you a smile as you see it, that you remember the joy, and I hope that away from this you have found your way back into writing but something different, because its a talent you have, that others can only strive to.

I've been reading the fanfictions for more than 16 years now and only found maybe five other stories (in any fandim) as good as yours. Can you imagine? I still love to reread this and yeah, I did read most of the continuation. The fanfiction of your fanfiction xd. It was good, high quality but cannot replace your story, impossible to reach that high standard. Anyway, sorry for the ramble. I just wanted to say that I’ve made my way through this wonderful work again and I still long for it’s conclusion. The story (and writing it), comes second to life, family and work, and I hope everything is going well for you. I also hope you and yours are doing well in general. I love this story and I often wonder what the ending would be, how everything would resolve and what the explanations for all the mysteries and questions would be. I’m not sure if I’ll ever know, but I want to thank you for your story, even in its incomplete form. Your creativity and original ideas were very compelling and the progression and character growth were fantastic.
