Love this story! Your Sam and Dean feel true to character and I felt like I was watching an episode. Totally laughed out loud too many times at work while reading this story. I love the humor, the writing style and smart ass Sammy.

Oh jeez! Where do I begin? First of all, love your writing style! My brain is split into two paths. I'm like "ohh hahahah" and "Oh shit shit SHIT Dean! Sam!". Lol. It was an amazing experience. And the whole plot of the story? Fucking amazing! The witch is a bitch but how they go about breaking the curse is so unique! Instead of the burning the altar stuff and the reversing the spell stuff, this took such a turn and Dean being the one to kill AND save Sam ... wow, it's as poetic as it's painful. Wow wow wow this is totally one of my favourite stories ever! Thank you for this gem! Loads of love, LXx

Awesome concept for a story. You have the balance of humor and angst (and angst) just right. That line about Sam hunting down Dean and hugging him just might be my favorite part of the fic (and only in this story could that be such a potent threat), followed closely by the parking tickets and Dean stealing an ambulance. Even though his part in the story mostly calls for him to suffer, I think your Sam shines: he keeps a level head, insists on making his own decisions about his own fate, and even gets a hilarious line or two of his own.

One of the things I like about your writing is your distinct narrative voices. It's always easy to tell whose perspective you're writing from; your Dean and Sam and Bobby stay internally and externally consistent from story to story. Your Dean's semi-stream-of-consciousness, full of metaphors and his own grapplings with his character and emotions, is compelling. I like how easily he can slide from humor to anger to grief to wry commentary - sometimes in the same sentence.

I do feel, however, that the same stream-of-consciousness feel that makes your Dean stories so good is also their Achilles' heel. Sometimes your one-sentence paragraphs are brilliant; sometimes they really do need to be chopped up into two or three sentences. Most of the time his internal mannerisms are enjoyable; sometimes an "or whatever" (etc.) needs to be cut so that it doesn't weaken the strength of the image.

Overall, this is a fabulous and original story. I couldn't put it down the first time I read it, and I could barely put it down the second time (I wouldn't have, either, except I had to go to work. ;_;) Thank you so much for writing and posting it.

I am digging this story. The stream of consciousness narration is snarky and funny and vulnerable and keeps the plot clipping along. Interesting premise, that the curse uses one brother's proximity to poison the other. That witch bitch really went for maximum angst, knew to use Sam to punish Dean.
