![]() ![]() ![]() just wanted to let you know that I have not stopped reading, its just that things are getting so heated rn I can barely stop! i must say I enjoyed all of your quirky author notes, its so bizarre to see that youve only recently completed this fic! i wish Id gotten to know this way before so I could have the pleasure of being replied to. you sound like such a lovely soul, not to mention an incredibly talented writer. an all around wonderful person |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh man I love their dynamic so much. and I love Snape's dialogue! he's like a walking thesaurus hahaha. you've captured his speech behaviour so perfectly |
![]() ![]() ![]() "initiate the melding process" aaaah that sounded so intimate! i love how youre explaining Occlumency here. each author seem to have their own way of explaining how it works but I love yours! |
![]() ![]() ![]() omg im so glad you decided to finish this story. its been such a ride so far! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Haha I love Snapes super long winded speeches. Youve captured his character really well! Love how awkward they both are. I cant stand stories where they have Snape acting soft from the get go. I believe it takes a long time for both to reach a mutual reconciliation. Til then Ill gladly embrace the angst that is undoubtedly due to come! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I laughed out loud at Harry and Sev’s exchange with Dobby omg theyre so cute |
![]() ![]() I don't need a reply. This was well done. Thank you for writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well obviously it couldn't go well forever but it's still so heartbreaking to see things go backwards so badly :( oh Harry! Making mistakes and knowing it's your fault is so crushing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Have been reading this fic, but I just felt I had to review this chapter! Harry's sass is delightful and it really has the vibe of cannon Harry, and I love his talks with Snape. |
![]() ![]() I remember reading this story ten years or so ago, and feeling sad that such an interesting and well-written story hadn’t been finished. Here we are in 2021, and I remembered your story as clear as anything, and I could not believe how amazing it was that it was complete! Better than any Netflix box-set could ever be, bingeing on your story was the most exhilarating read! I read the whole thing in a couple of days, snatched in hours on either end of busy days, and fell in love with your characters, and your glorious writing. Once completed, I went back and read it all again, slowly this time, drinking in each word. There are so many gems of phrases in your writing, I can’t collate them all to report back. All I can do is thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with us all, for surely it has brought the same light to many people that it has to me. I love everything about this story, your writing, and I cannot thank you enough, Thanks KirbyLane! |
![]() ![]() Where's Remus? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just found this story last week. And immediately became totally immersed. I have read a LOT of fan fiction. A lot out there is good, and enjoyable but there aren't as many that I absolutely love. And this was extraordinary. I loved the plot and how slowly things developed between Snape and Harry. In many ff it feels very forced and rushed. I BELIEVED everything in your story and was completely captivated and drawn in. I am sad it is over! Thank you for sharing your work. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the great story! Do post some kind of an update when there is a sequel. Thank you! |
![]() ![]() I’ve been a bad Somehow Friend! D;: Well, a bunch of stuff happened in my life, a crisis or two... it’s fine now. I’m actually in a very good place! ButI was so burnt out for a while there that I just wasn’t doing much of anything. Anyway. I know by now this story has reached its end, but I want to review these last few chapters, as a thank you for all you’ve done. This story has brought me so much joy and excitement, and although I know all good things must end I am sad to see it go. Firstly, I love how you tied things up between Harry and Remus. They both care for each other, but Remus is not what Harry needs right now, and Remus also needs time to focus on himself. Throwing himself into Harry’s life would just be another way of running from his problems. He needs to grow up, and that’s something he needs to take time with. He needs a fresh start. I like that they both acknowledge not wanting to cling yo each other, not because they don’t love each other, but because they have the confidence to communicate what they need in life right now. That’s a big step towards maturity for both of them. I also loved the alterations Harry made to Sirius’ watch! I’ve always loved the idea of seeing more of those little tracking clocks. And I’m sure that would put someone like Snape at ease to a fair degree. The way you approach occlumency is very refreshing! It reminds me a lot of things like mindfulness and how some people can train themselves to have lucid dreams. The chapter as a whole was slower paced, but that suited it perfectly. As the story draws to a close, the characters are getting settled in the new stages of their life. It’s bittersweet but it feels like finishing a long and hard journey. It’s just... so damn satisfying. Also? Like? The description of Harry just being used to Snape’s face and seeing an odd sort of beauty in it? I ALMOST CRIED AT WORK BRO I’m just. So proud. So proud of our boys. Look how far we’ve come. Feels good, man. |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow, I am SO mad at Snape in this chapter (51) how could he ignore Harry like that? my heart is literally breaking at this |
