![]() ![]() ![]() wow, I am SO mad at Snape in this chapter (51) how could he ignore Harry like that? my heart is literally breaking at this |
![]() ![]() ![]() omg I love this chapter so so much! I am very impressed by your description of Harry's dreams and Harry's behavior during his awakening. All this chapter is so sweet and nice, one of my favorites for sure! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Not me rereading this story for the third time... Wow, it's just as exciting as during the first time! I wish I could put in words how much being able to read this story means to me. I started reading it when I was not in a very good place mentally, and it made me smile every day. I wish I could express my gratitude in some other way apart from just reviews, but oh well... I think you are a really great writer and it seems like you are a very good person overall, so best of luck to you! and I will continue reviewing, as reread it)) |
![]() ![]() ![]() will there be a sequel? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I absolutely adore this story, definitely one of my top Harry/Snape mentor fics. I'm so happy you decided to finish it after all this time! I love how you crafted their relationship from total hatred to trust and love. It's so believable while also staying true to canon (through OotP anyways). Halfway through the story, I was thinking, "ok, how are these two ever going to be reconciled?" But these characters grow beautifully through forgiveness and second chances - the second half of the story is like drinking a yummy cup of hot chocolate! I really appreciate that you included Harry's struggle with potion addiction. Not only does it make your portrayal of Harry so much more realistic, I think his mental state is something many writers, JKR included, mostly neglect to address. How can he not have issues after all he's been through? That boy needs some serious therapy. I was SO relieved when he went to Snape after stealing the Adder's Fork. Definitely made my insides turn to mush when I read how Snape responded. I cannot wait for your sequel! My only thought is this: I don't think it makes sense for Harry to want to be an Auror. I know it's canon but I honestly think after fighting for his life for so long he would want to do something less intense...I would prefer seeing him transition to choosing a different career path (that still required a Potions N.E.W.T.) that would be more healing and still require Snape's guidance/influence. Maybe he could aim to be a Healer? A teacher? Some other empathetic job that still uses his strengths? I've read a few Harry-becomes-an-Auror stories and they're great, but I would love to see his future take a different turn, especially with the great relationship you've established between our favorite boys. Just my take! (If you ever need a beta let me know. I've done a bit of writing but I also am a superb editor - just ask any of my college friends for whom I edited! I have a master's degree and am a teacher.) Gosh I just want to start reading this work over again! Ok I'm done gushing. Thank you for giving us this great story! |
![]() ![]() I will definitely be looking forward to the sequel! It would be fun too explore a father/son/guardian relationship between Snape and Harry. I have to admit, when I finished reading the Deathly Hallows, I kinda despised Dumbledore for manipulating Harry and raising him like a 'pig for slaughter' but after reading this chapter I am like- if you are gonna be a manipulative old coot, then that's the way to do it! Also, when I first started reading fanfiction and discovered Severitus I was like- wut? Like, how the hell can you put Severus Snape and Harry Potter in a mentoring relationship, and then I read some stories- fell in love with he idea, browsed for Severitus fics, was disappointed 95% of times ( cuz most Severitus fics are like "Snape-and-Harry-hate-each-other-oh-but-wait-no-they-actually-care-for-each-other") but you- YOU managed to achieve the impossible. You made it very realistic and believable whilst exploring another possible route for their relationship to take. I absolutely love this. It showed how they got past the years of hatred and found respect and love and how Snape overcame his bitterness and found redemption and love. Thank you so much for this gem. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'M SO PUMPED FOR A SEQUELLLLLL! It's rare that a Severitis fic is written so well without cringe aspects, but you managed completely! This fic was amazing from start to finish, and I look forward to stalking your fanfiction account to read your other works as well! I look forward to getting an email about a sequel! PS I take back most of the tomatoes I lobbed at you, but I'll leave one hovering over your head just in case you decide to do something poopy in the sequel. |
![]() ![]() ![]() :)))) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think I need to call back the fruit |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was simultaneously the funniest and saddest chapter that I have read, like, ever |
![]() ![]() ![]() The tomato flickers and dissipates into the void of imagination |
![]() ![]() ![]() A single red fruit sails through virtual air to hover over your head |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hm I thought that the silver potion might be a Draught of Living Death type of thing, and that Lucius would have a Narcissa moment. I guess only reading further will let me find out :DD |
![]() ![]() ![]() ok soo, like. Less tomatoes now |
![]() ![]() ![]() TOMATOESS |
