![]() ![]() ![]() hey I'm in this for the long haul! who cares about upd8s, you're giving me words that I love, and I'll keep an eye out for this on ao3! |
![]() ![]() ![]() DIABETES! I HAVE DIABETES, NOW! (but losing a couple of my teeth is totally worth reading all the fluff and mush and happiness) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved it! Glad you're not dead :) This is still the best Alex Rider fanfic I have ever read You're my favorite AR fanfic writer I have to admit, I've been checking my notifications every day hoping to see this, seriously though, no pressure Writers block sucks, and life is hard, I get it I absolutely love Cloe! I'm looking forward to seeing more of her The way you did this, it's so beautifully written You have an acute understanding of Alex Can't wait for more, keep up the good work! (Though of course I'll wait as long as it takes) -fangirl all da way |
![]() ![]() What a treat! Such a long needed talk and I am so for Alex being vulnerable and open... gosh I‘d wish this story would never end! Anyway thank you for the new chapter! (And don’t worry about the break, I don’t have any expectations, and am just glad as long as it will get finished sometime) |
![]() ![]() ![]() The good parts are very good, written so well it might as well be professional, but it becomes very repetitive with all the abuse and torture he goes through over the fic. Alex is meant to be a character-mix of James Bond and Macgyver. Hell, even when Jack was kidnapped in the second to last book, even after he believed her dead, he got up and went near John Wick on the bastards in revenge. I just don't see the Alex Rider I got to know while reading the AR books. This fanfic is a great read so far, but I am sad to say I don't think it would be good as a reread. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can’t wait for the next chapter. You really are an amazing writer, have you ever thought of writing something you can sell? I would love to read it. It would also be really funny if you wrote your own book and then write some fan fiction about it but you wouldn’t have to use a disclaimer |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi there. I really liked your story so far. I read it all in one night. Of course I’ve now stayed up way too late. But in any case I’m excited that it seems like we might be getting to the healing part of the story! Can’t wait for an update when you have the time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this. I loved the class with the SAS, I thought it was brilliant. I loved the paint balling, it was really enjoyable to read. I thought the bit with the new recruits was really funny (why are a lot of my favourite bit the parts when Alex gets the better of the SAS?). I thought the bits with Bear were great. I like how much trouble Alex had with the mixing of his two lives. I thought the way you made it all seem realistic was brilliant, because all the characters reactions made sense, but it isn't all dark you've also got some great lighthearted moments. The balance was spot on. Tom was amazing, I loved him using what Alex has taught him. I also loved how he spilled the beans, it was very realistic for a teenager I loved it. It made every decision he made after that make sense, it was great character development. Richard and Gilda are wonderful and very human, I love that they didn't get it right with Alex straight away but are trying so hard. Your decision to have Jack give Alex up was heartbreaking, but made so much sense for so many reasons. I thought the villain was great, he was really menacing. I loved Alex and the girls, I loved how sweet he was with them, but still unsure how to talk to them. So if you can't tell from this great big rant I loved it all. Thank you |
![]() ![]() First of all: happy newyear! You are writing a great story. I like the protectieve side of Alex. And the interactions between them. I like also Richard's and Gilda's figurings out on Alex. I hope that you continue soon with this amazing story Mae |
![]() ![]() I'm not surprised that Eagle got him to listen and partially open up - soldier to soldier and all that, in addition to Eagle almost seeming like a big brother. I hope they keep in contact when things become more normal. About the rating: probably a good choice to up the rating, since there are many young ones reading. I always wondered if Alex had not been assaulted before at one stage during his missions. |
![]() ![]() It will really be an uphill battle for Gilda and Richard, won't it?! How are his big brothers aka Eagle etc taking all this? Hope they will be a continued presence in Alex's life. |
![]() ![]() First, thank you for continuing this - I have been coming back to the story many times over the years, re-reading both this and your other one, hoping that you would find the time to write more. The bit about Alex not being real enough, and thus in part expendable was very well written and, I think, a part of Alex that has been underlying all of his actions in this story, but not really verbalised until now. Poor boy, he is going to need quite a bit of therapy after this. |
