![]() ![]() please continue to update this story it is really good. |
![]() ![]() Loving the story please come back and update ik I'm impatient just really interested in this fic |
![]() ![]() ![]() I couldn't believe that when I idly looked through my old email address that one of my favourite fics from years ago had been updated, I was embarrassingly excited. And the updates were well written. I have to admit there's a certain nostalgia to the early chapters though, and and even if they're not the best quality in the world I'd be oddly sad to lose them. It brings me back to the time I was first discovering the world of fanfiction and the delights it held, maybe I'm a sentimental fool but I wouldn't want to lose this first version. Dont get me wrong I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled on ao3 for this fic to appear, not gonna lie I'm the type of person to read both the new and improved version and the old in one sitting. You've given me (rather foolish) hope that other dead fics may come back to life. You'll have to excuse any grammatical errors I've made, or you know what I'm not even sure anything I've written made sense, I haven't slept in 24 hours I stayed up all night reading right from the beginning to the end. |
![]() ![]() Love the story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter! I’m looking forward to more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, poor Alex. The immediate threat has lifted, and now he’s lost without it. Glad his friends are still on his side, and I’m thrilled that he’s got supportive and strong people in the Mannings to help him forward (though he doesn’t know it yet). Really, you write the most amazing and wonderfully supportive people to surround our poor boy with. I absolutely do not feel that this fic has become “dull” since the action ended. The psychological feels are just beginning, and I am totally here for them. (Even if they literally made me ache during this chapter. I love it! Give me more!) Also, I have no idea if Alex is OOC or not, because it’s been forever since I read the books. But you’ve kept him consistent in this story, you have reasons for his behavior, and I just plain like the way you write him. In fact, (shhh, don’t tell) I like this story better than I liked the actual Alex Rider books. Honestly by this point I think you SHOULD own Alex Rider. You’re taking better care of him and delving more deeply in his persona than Horowitz ever did. The scope, scale, and timeline for this story are stunning in all ways. Only a very amazing person like yourself would still be posting and writing a story of this quality over this length of time, and I’m so proud of you and awed by your example of persistence. I was so excited when I saw the update, and couldn’t figure out how to write a review that thoroughly expressed how happy I was, so I decided I’d read the whole story and review every chapter in gratitude instead. You can count on me to be along for the ride for the foreseeable future. I know life is crazy, and real life always takes precedence, but when and if you find time to post subsequent chapters, you can be sure I will be out here cheering you on. :) Best of luck to you! Thanks for the ride! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Seeing Alex’s friends so traumatized is just heart breaking, but you’re handling them very well. Good job writing the controlled pandemonium of the aftermath too. And can I just say, you are truly talented at writing OCs? They’re all so well fleshed out and so smoothly introduced and mesh so well with the canon characters. Just - wow. Hat is off to you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you so much for continuing this story! I've loved following it for years. |
![]() ![]() ![]() And I thought the LAST chapter was a cliffhanger! This one is much worse. Wow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() As always, a brilliantly written chapter. I appreciate that you’re able to write good into characters who aren’t of the same political opinion of yourself - it makes the story that much more realistic. And wow! What a cliffhanger! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ooooh, things are falling into place! Read this chapter until I couldn’t keep my eyes anymore last night (at a truly unspeakably late hour, I assure you,) and picked right back up where I left off as soon as I could this morning. Can’t wait to find out what happens next! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have been following this story for ... oh, I don't know. Many years. It's been many years, too, since I last read it (I left off when he left Breacon Beacons), but now, there is so much more of it so I've spent the last week re-reading it. And, I don't know. A comment seems like such little thanks for the work you've put into this. But I just. Well. Wanted to thank you for it? Because it's really so very good. And for once, for ONCE, maybe things are going to turn out okay for Alex. And in a way that is lasting, even. I appreciate that, and I appreciate the thought you've put into it. So, thank you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! It’s well past midnight, but this chapter has been so fast-paced and exciting that I couldn’t put it down! Sure hope the cupboard thing pans out before Alex has to do something to Chloe that he doesn’t want. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am just in awe at your writing ability. This chapter featured some really rotten subject matter, and some very high tension and emotion, and your ability to portray all that is just incredible. It was like I could hear the kids all shouting in the bathroom as they tried to hash out what’s happening. Well done showing their increased cohesion. Just - wow. Rough subject, fantastic writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awww, Dr. and Dr. Manning are pretty much the sweetest couple ever! Fun to see them talk over the realistic challenges that would come with another potential kid. |
