![]() ![]() ![]() That was nice. I like to think that is how Kyouya views the world, and the things he does. |
![]() ![]() ![]() cool fic! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() “It sort of blossomed into a full-scale cynicism-according-to-Kyouya as applied to the Host Club.” - Oh joyz! One of my favorite things ever in the world. Especially [or maybe only] when you do it. High-quality pessimism coming right up…! “The first rule I learned in dealing with Ootori Yoshio is that I cannot approach him as a father. Yes. I have known that for a very long time.” - First part because I am instantly plunged into bitter-sweet Kyouya love. Gods, I just want to cuddle him… go back in time and save him from being raised like that… but then we wouldn’t have him, and if he was the kinda guy who’d accept cuddles from some random girl [who isn’t even paying!] I wouldn’t be so in love, would I… And the second part because… I don’t even rightly know… something about that “Yes.” Just this sort of confirmation-thing that seems very Kyouya. Of course he’s right. He’s always RIGHT. He knows it, everyone knows it. But he checks anyway. Double-assures. Things need to be certain. “He tells me how high to jump three seconds after I’ve done it.” - Because I adore your way with words. “My sister dealt with him by ignoring him. My brothers dealt with him by perfectly meeting his expectations.” - Things he’ll no longer be satisfied with… have to be better but not too much better… I don’t know. Gah, kinda hate his dad. “I deal with him differently. I fix the world.” - That… is Kyouya for you… “So, I fix it. The entire world. It isn’t very difficult. ” - Oh, such pure, unadulterated Kyouya-ness. The sheer arrogance mixed with practicality and contradictory obliviousness to how amazing what he accomplishes is. That needs to be an icon or something. “Tamaki has a stroke of brilliance after I hint at a certain resort popular with the modern teenage female.” - ‘All our decisions are made by the King…’ I do adore sneakily-manipulative!Kyouya. And “the modern teenage female.” Because people are animals too… studied, categorized, boxed… “The Hitachiins decide to practice their molestation skills in public when I accidentally fabricate a rumor about their vague, innocent experiments in the finer homoerotic arenas and attract clients.” - Sn. Sn. Sn. “Hunny learns that cutely sharing a cake with a girl will earn ten times that sacrifice in tokens of affection when I encourage one girl to insist.” - Because I am so very much in love with Hunny just not sharing the cakes because they’re HIS, WANNA WANNA SWEETIE… and changing his mind toward the adorable generosity we’re used to on a purely economic sort of basis. “Mori learns that not all problems can be solved with inattentive reticence when a girl breaks down in hysterics at my behest and he cannot ‘silent’ her calm again.” - Chessboard, black and white… “Haruhi accepts her own limitations when I subtly remind her of female weaknesses and threats.” - Because that scene was so incredibly disturbing and awful, and real low points for both of their characters [although Haruhi did not, at least, get panting-scared]. And this… it’s all so much a part of a whole. Just one more thing he does. “And the world of the Club becomes Right.” - His microcosm, in which he is God, and he creates things and sees that they are good. “Tamaki ignores me in favor of Haruhi.” - Just so simple, slide-by… but it’s part of his Plan. Listed in with good things. Like there’s no difference, or it is good somehow… plays a part. “It is communally beneficial.” - Everyone benefits, which, underneath all of this analysis, makes it kind of a… well, so I manipulate them. I don’t HURT them. They’re puppets, we’re not friends, but we’re not NOT friends kind of thing. Sort of… safety net. “And, through my control of this minor world, I hone the techniques.” - Ha yes. I was spot-on again, even if this time it was pretty obvious. His puppet theater, practice for when he’s running the freakin’ orchestra. “I’m sure my father sees this. Somehow.” - He is Omniscient, and so too shall be his father. It’s a family of gods. “Rich bastards…” “My participation in my Club benefits me, as well. It is how I deal with Ootori Yoshio.” - Hells. Yes. All so neat. And we all know it leads up to a smack in the face which was “in my calculations, anyway.” Not quite so always rational as he perhaps intends… so weird to think of him being wrong… maybe he’s right in a way I haven’t figured out. Okay, this deserves longer, but I absolutely have to get to “Surprise” or I’ll burst. I just pasted it while I had a connection, and I saw something about more chapters. More. Chapters. Is this The Fic? The multi-chapter, multi-pairing Kyoua Epic? That wasn’t supposed to come out until SEPTEMBER? *sings and dances* |
