That was always my take on how it happened too. Most people seem to think that John gave Dean the Impala when he was a younger, but I always figured he gave it to him just after he left. Which was probably not too long after Sam left.

Poor Dean all alone, must have been hard considering how important his family is to him.

I like the snippets that fit together to make a quilt of Dean's emotions and the summary as the last line was beautifully angsty.

Okay, at first, I didn't get it, but then I started to get it, and aw, that's so sad. I loved it of course.

You know, I understand the Sam Pov, cuz Sam is the introspective brother, but I think it could just as easily be a Dean Pov. Maybe that's because I refuse to believe he's as obtuse as he acts. It's not wishful thinking!

The imagery was beautiful, and the short lines kept up a rhythm.

Beautiful imagery, it was so vivid; and the Happily Ever After was diguised so well. Too bad I know how it ends, I'd like to think they're still ahppy with their kids, on the way to getting a dog-which Dean would name Lynard or Rocky or something-and watching Sam grow up to be an angst-ridden teenager.

Okay it took me a little while to get into this story admittedly, but now i like the way you do the POVs. now i have been reading but not reviewing *shame on me* for reasons told before, but i have to say that this is proably one of my favourite, because of the last line " It’s a fitting comparison – for all angels are beautiful, and dead, are they not?" i don't know why i like it so much. but pixc you've done again. love ya
