Watari's death got me a little down :( but I loved how you had L react, getting defensive of Watari's name (cute in a morbid kind of way?)It seemed pretty in-character. Can't wait till the next chapter!

AH! Just by reading the summery I could tell this would be well written and I was right! Wonderful. I love the characterisation, the plot (as far as it's gotten), the pace, etc.

Distraught I would most certainly be if you were to abandon this. Please continue. I'm already awaiting the next chapter in hope.

omgosh! Yay! You've written another story! Aww I feel so sorry for L. He must be devastated...and to find out that he doesn't even have a name must be pretty bad T_T. This story is so interesting! Just like all your other stories! i can't wait to see more!

Hm...L is immune to the Death Note? That's an interesting "IF." Will Light really soil his "holy" hands with L's blood? Seems like an act of desperation to me...despite the fact that it's the only way Light can be rid of L.

The part that stood out to me the most was the "L in denial" scene where Light suddenly reveals Watari and L's names. That was sad...L must've thought that it was impossible for Watari to die, and so being the stubborn kid that he is, he shuts everything out and refuses to acknowledge reality as it really is. I was actually surprised and saddened when L said, "Mr. Wammy." It made L sound childish and...innocent, especially since you know that he's done far too much to be considered untainted...

I can't wait to see how this plays out later in the story. Update soon!

I like the tone of the story- it ties well with the actual series. And I like the name meaning nothing theory- it's a good one. And I'm definately interested to see how this plays out. Good luck :)

You know, the name thing... it makes sense in this case that L wouldn't necessarily have a name hanging over his life span. Namely because he doesn't ever have one set name. He's always saying he's someone else. I think this may also be the reason why the DN can't be used on animals.

I'm excited to see an AU fic that veers from 25/58 directly and not from a little before. 8D I look forward to seeing more of this!

Interesting idea... I don't get why his name would mean nothing to him though... if Watari named him, then you would think it certainly would.
