| Anon chapter 3 . 2/13
A lovely end after a dark and discouraging beginning. Good :)
| Anon chapter 2 . 2/13
I'm glad you make the change subtle.
| Anon chapter 1 . 2/13
You certainly paint a vivid picture of a tortured mind.
| Epilachna chapter 3 . 12/26/2013
I enjoyed this story very much. Eomer's struggle to overcome his wounds felt very genuine as did his evolving relationship with Lothiriel.
| Glory Bee chapter 3 . 11/28/2011
Such an incredible ending to this tale with the quotes from ROTK, Eomer's rallying the troops and his impassioned singing is enough to give me goosebumps. :)
I wanted to say the following as I was reading this only you had Aragorn say it better than I ever could have. "that the peaceful, compassionate lady might prove balm to Eomer's wounded spirit" Perfectly beautiful Deandra and I would only add patience to Lothiriel's many virtues. I sure would love to see a sequel to this :)

I loved this story! :) Especially how you analyzed Eomer's psychological difficulties and how he overcame them. I'm glad Lothiriel helped him the most and I also think that it is very realistic with the book. Good job
| Sic Vita Est chapter 3 . 12/28/2010
I also really enjoyed this story. The tone was different from many of your others due to Eomer's troubles with dealing with the war and its aftermath. I liked the darker nature of the story because it rang true to what a soldier such as Eomer would deal with in reality. :)
| Desertfyre chapter 3 . 7/19/2010
Great story! Greatly enjoyed!
| Alder-Elma chapter 3 . 4/9/2009
Fantasic story! I'm sad that it's over. Thanks for all you're hard work.
| Fishy Rainboots chapter 3 . 11/4/2007
I Absolutely lovedit. You did a great job of tying this in to Beauty and the Beast while keeping the story believable. I really enjoyed it.
| LionQueen chapter 3 . 7/12/2007
Awee, it ended. :( But you kept it flowing and progressing nicely without rushing! Good on you!
| LionQueen chapter 2 . 7/12/2007
Again, very well written! I thoroughly enjoy the dialog. There was only once that I felt Eomer was just a tad out of character ...
“Lothiriel, please – do not leave! Eowyn will soon wed and be gone, and then I will be left here alone. I could not bear that! My…my thoughts consume me, and I fear this madness will take me if there is none at Meduseld to speak reason to me. There is no one who dares challenge the king but you! I know I have not listened to your counsel in the past, but I will try. I promise I will try!” Eomer told her fervently, his hands clasping hers in an unconsciously painful grip.
I can't see him begging, and I can't see him grabbing her hands. I can see him asking her to stay and in not so many words apologize for being so consummed by his thoughts, as he admitted. I could stomach something like this ...
“Lothiriel, please – do not leave! Forgive me for my thoughts thoughts consume me, and I fear this madness will take me if there is none at Meduseld who can speak reason. "
* Then have him turn and look wistfully out the window or something *
" Eowyn will soon wed and then I will be left here, alone. "
Turns back to her. " Please forgive the coldness of a bitter heart and remain. "
I dunno, something to that effect. Again, such a nice and smooth read. Everything is subtle and not rushed.

That was very well done! I can see Eomer in every word. I'll hafta read more!
| Rachael chapter 3 . 6/15/2007
I love a bloody good tale I do, I felt all Rohan-ed up by this story, a nice welcome back to me old favorite Eomer shelf in the vast library of lolZ.
Yeah, beutifully written, you're better than I remember you being because I know Ive read some of your stuff before over the years, I truly liked this and I liked how you handled the characters.

A very nice resolution to this enjoyable story. Poor Eomer obviously had what we would call PTSD. Lothiriel is obviously the right person to help him heal.I enjoyed the glimpse of Aragorn at the end and his concern for his friend.
