Thank you so much for this. It is the absolute best Stargate story I have read to date and I have read quite a few. I think that you have written it better than the screen writers. At least in the later seasons. Your story is so touching. It shows the side of Rodney that makes us like him. The side we almost never get to see. Thank you for that. Oh, and just a suggestion here but I thought it'd be really neat if you were to someday write more stories about Rodney's time in Antarctica...

I loved this story. Following John on his journey to discover exactly what kind of man Rodney really is was fascinating. I really liked how you had John's discoveries come first and then showed how Rodney and his packrat pack saved the day again and again. I agree with John that even the jacket was a save. Rodney kept that man from dying alone.

Such a fabulous beginning for what turns out to be one of my most favorite stories. The beginning is tense and fraught with anticipation that you do not fail to deliver. Rodney's honor, bravery and heroism are perfectly rendered so as to be realistic and so all the more fine for not being merely storybook brave or heroic.

A great story with a surprise part way through that I didn't see coming. A great story.

Wonderful story. Rodney was so heroic and John was so caring. The whump was wonderful as well. Very well done and with angsty Jihn watching over him. Had me teary eyed a couple of times when you had Rodney calling out for him, very sweet. Thanks for sharing this fic.
