Reviews for The Life of Memory
Lasgalendil chapter 1 . 8/28/2008
Awesome writing. Not just the theme and the tone but the flow of the piece as well. The snow imagery is wonderful. The ocean wave for love is beautiful as well as relevant to her story. Keeping the two short lines 'like the life of a mortal' and 'love (in italics too, how clever!)' in comparison to the rest makes it read almost like poetry. The repetition of running and remembering is beautiful. The 'fl' sound in the butterful descriptions is wonderul onomonopoeia. Bringing back the butterfly-the words that meant so much to her at the beginning of the quest versus forgetting the people who helped her is very poignant. Your final line is an excellent clincher.
An Ebony Rose chapter 1 . 11/2/2007
who are you?

Who are you to stir such feelings in an immortal soul?

Are you one of my kind?

Have you grasped the knowledge denied so many?

Are you one who knows regret?

One who knows what is, what is to be...

And what we lost?

what have you done?

Why do your words make me feel this way?

Again I ask you,

who are you?
S J Smith-Evil Little Dog chapter 1 . 6/21/2007
Oh, so lovely and heartbreaking.
