beautiful, although i personally think cloud would not have said marry me outright. it would have been way more subtle. but beautiful story nonetheless

This was probably one of the most in-character stories I've ever read for Cloud and Tifa. All the actions they did seemed compatible with how they acted in the movie. Even Cloud's little habit of only turning his head to the right a bit when talking to someone.

Do not worry kind sir or lady that no one will read your story so long after movie came out, i saw the movie yesterday yet again but first time in HD, then i discovered this site today and have read alot of stories here, yours is the only one that enticed me to send review because i felt need to dispel that worry. Its 2012 now and i believe im not the last life long fan of FF7 that will read your beautiful story :)

That was amazing. There are a lot of mediocre fanfictions out there. The hard thing is: making it romantic, yet sticking to the right tone and remaining the personality of the characters. Lot's of fanfictions try to make Cloud and Tifa experience romantic things, and most of them end up not sticking to their personality at all. Like, even though Cloud says the words we all want him to say: "I love you" you smile for a second, but then you think: no that's not him. He would never act like that. Anyway, you managed to write an incredibly romantic story where the personalities fit. Great job!

Wow this is so good! I really liked your story, thank you very much. The hard part about writing fan fiction is you want to give it your own touch, yes you want to remain true to the story. I've read so many fan fictions in which I thought: "Nice, but...that's just so NOT Cloud." I mean, how difficult is it to make him romantic for once without ruining his character? You did a great job, especially the beginning, I thought it was very 'realistic' in that it could really have happened to them. I personally didn't expect the marriage proposal, was more expecting a kiss, but I liked it! If I can say one thing though, I thought Tifa's reaction to his proposal was a bit quick. I mean, not that she would say no, but I would expect her to be fully blown away by his two words "marry me", so maybe a bit of chock before she gives him her answer would have been better. But seriously, this is really good. I love your writing style and the way you add elements of their past to the story. Keep up the good work!

I found your short story "Alone" to be very compelling. The story is simply beautiful in its simplicity, and your portrayal of the characters was flattering. You captured some dimensions and complexities in the characters that have been overlooked or missed by a number of other authors in their short stories. You appear to be a gifted writer as well, you have a way with words. A good "flow" is how my english teacher puts it, also you're spelling and grammar is obviously good. There are not very many good short stories on this site so please keep it up ! ~Meg~

Beautiful, just beautiful. I like how you were able to show Cloud and Tifa in a romantic scene while still keeping their personalities. In many fanfics I read, either Cloud is really romantic or Tifa is really dramatic. I'm glad you were able to capture the quirkiness of their relationship while still making it sweet and entertaining for the viewer. And don't worry about posting it too late. Trust me, people are still reading!
