That was a nasty little trick by Snape. If Harry had agreed with him, then he would have done something to help him. He is clever.

For me, the 'sad' part is… considering all the crap these two go through (individually or collectively), either caused from their own actions (looking at you, Snape) or by forces beyond their control (I would go mental if I had gone through Harry’s life)… this might have been the ONLY way that Severus Snape would have legitimately 'helped' Harry James Potter — TOUGH LOVE.

This is amazing. One of the most realistic takes on Snape in my opinion and delightfully crafted to cause maximum emotional hurt (to us, the reader). I come back to reread it often because of how punchy and powerful that last line is.

Great story. I like the way Snape reacts here. Often, he becomes way too OOC and this portrayal seemed very realistic.

That is brilliant. I think Snape in this was saying that because if Harry did not protest he would know that he believed it and would have to do something but if he did object Snape would know that he did not believe it. This was amazing. Thank you!

I love how on the low key Snape is telling Harry that he should not have been treated like that by telling him that his relatives were right after Harry is denying that statement because as long as Harry knows that it is wrong he will not fully have to say that it is wrong himself in a bit of a harsh way of putting it but still he pretty much tells Harry that his relatives were in the wrong by say as long as he knows that!

God, I hate snape. Doesn’t matter what side of the war he was on, he was an utter and complete arse. Wonder what he will feel if Harry says the same thing after watching the pensieve memories - that he deserved to be bullied by the marauders?
