Well this is what I think. For this to be your first story it is very good in time your writing will improve. Even though I think that with more experience you will continue to become better. Just think of this as film the directors piece was good but it wasn't his best. But with time they became better do to more experience they became better. I feel the same will happen with you. I think you should continue this story. Because no matter how well you do some people will view it negatively. Also you have to be able to except the positive and negative criticism that you will receive to become better. I hope you grandmother will get better also and that she may recover.
