Wow, wow, wow! I have never read anything like this in any fandom. It's so good I can't even. I always think this fandom so need so much more Mikey and Leo bro stories. Most of the time we read stories that deal with the big bad but rarely do we have stories like this, where the world itself, the elements/structures/places are the enemy. Love it so much!

Mikey and Leo are such an underrated pair, but this fic really explored their relationship in an interesting way. I loved the premise! Exploring how living in the sewers would have its own unique pitfalls (heh) and challenges is always fun to read about. Thank you for writing, I loved every word!

I read this first back in high-school, over a decade ago now. Sorry if that was a rude reminder of time. I told a friend about it, a couple years later, and after ranting we both concluded it was the best hurt/comfort fic we've ever read.

I think I even have a printed copy of this somewhere, I was going to a scout camp and wanted it with me. I still read this from time to time. It's just, such a comort and something nice to return too. I still think it's one of the best hurt/comforts I've read, just how you pinned down Mikey's narration, how you handled the setting and how they navigatethe dark, the funny and touching moments... beautifully written. Just wanted you to know.

so im not a tmnt fan, not really. i started watching the new animated show and i got attached to leo after a few episodes, but never really sought it out after that.

however, my close friend sent the link to this fic saying "hey welcome to my annual reread of the best fic ive ever read" and so i read it and ohhhhhh my gosh

i dont know if you'll ever see this! but man i so enjoyed this! i loved it so much and i really hope you kept writing after so long because i needed the good comfort that comes from this. love love love love these turtles.

Oh my gosh- I love your descriptions. The fic is over a decade old but the prose is immortal- I'm enjoying every single minute of this! XD

I'm pretty sure I read this years ago when I was newer to fanfiction- long enough for things to be vaguely familiar, but also long enough to keep things really fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed this! I love the way you got into Mikey's head, and I adore reading Mikey's perspective about what Leo does! You did a GREAT job!

Describing an environment is quite tricky when the main character is essentially blind... well done. Very engrossing. It's interesting to see Mikey forced into a leadership position.

This is my second time reading and it is hands down my favorite TMNT fanfic. Written in a way that is realistic, thoughtful, and exhilarating.

it's been years since I last saw this story, so long in fact, I started to think I had dreamed it up. I've been reading fanfiction for as long as I can remember, but this story is one of the only ones from my younger years that clearly sticks out in my mind. I can't place why exactly it was so memorable, Leo and Mikey aren't even my top two favorite turtles. But this story holds a very special place in my heart. it's been probably 8 years since I've seen it, but I remember the unique story and raw emotion of the characters you had written so vividly. I look forward to rereading it again in the future.
