| dakeyras chapter 12 . 8/15/2016 Really nice story, I enjoyed it a lot. The diary style reminded me a bit of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole (especially the way you wrote about petting etc.) Was that an influence, do you think? Towards the end (last two chapters) it seemed to drag more, while the beginning was very fast. The way you wrote Ron was infuriating in a good way - all the insecurities and low self-esteem combined with some snark and humour - but there's only so much you can do after he actually gets the girl, I suppose. The note about Ron using a pen that corrects his grammar and spelling was quite intriguing as well. I think the story benefited a lot from the flow-of-consciousness style, although the repeated line breaks instead of just new paragraphs seemed a bit unnecessary. |
