Great story, shame we didn't get a 'what happened next' with Mulder and Scully, how this experience changed their relationship, both personally and professionally, going forward.

Wow what a great story full of angst and love happy ending

Rather late coming to the party but I really enjoyed this. It's such an interesting concept, to see oneself without the hindrance of past memories or preconceptions.

It’s a hint at what ‘Fox’ could be without the trauma he’s endured but Scully loves him because of the trauma he’s endured, it’s what made him in to the man he is and although she would wish he hadn’t experienced everything that he has, it’s still what brought them together.

Hope you write more.

Wow! your here. I love this story. It was the first fanfic I ever read that was not my own. It introduced me to the wonderful world of fanfic on the internet back in 1998. Glad to see you ar still writing.

i haven't read fanfic this good since like... ever. but maybe that's because i read band fanfics, and there's a lot of crappy writers there. i'm not much of a mulder/scully shipper, but i gotta say, you write very well. i didn't get the nemesis thing at the end, but is it some part of the conspiracy thing that only people who watch the show religiously get? maybe. yeah, nice story. cheers.

It's Thea! And Alistair! The rest of the story was wonderfully done too (the entire concept was very intriguing), Mulder and Scully's interactions were spot on, and that description of the winter evening at the end was just so extemely sharp and vivid - but mostly I'm just happy we got to see them again:) And from the summary of the sequel it seems like we'll get to again - yey! Do keep writing IWS (I really should make that more emphatic), but I hope you find time to finish the sequel to this as well.

I am...speechless. This was wonderfully well-written and coherent. I could actually see this as an X-Files episode, and it does not contradict anything that we saw in later eps. I felt you stayed very true to the characters and yet gave us new insight to their psyches. I loved it. You have a good grasp of just who Mulder and Scully are and what it is that motivates their chemistry. I found it very believable. In fact, I think that reading this fiction helps me to really see who and what Mulder is, in ways I had never really considered. Your story made me think, and also made me re-examine the demons in my own memory. Very powerful writing. I will continue to read anything with your byline.

Well, this has always been among my top 3 X-Files fics. It's literate, well-plotted, not too mushy, Mulder/Scully in character .. and it quotes one of my favourite songwriters. What more could a girl want?
