Good God, this has so much of what I was trying to say and get to in my own WIP. I agree that he was really not quite grown up when he and Lois connected and that's part of why they came apart. And I agree with the deep need for him to learn and respect his own limits. He honestly CAN'T do everything even though he's Superman.

But your solution is rather ingenious. So simple yet so perfect and not overwhelming just real, based in Kryptonian biology. I love, love, LOVE this story. It's so HUMAN ironically enough. Well, well done!

That's a really melancholy version of Kal-El's life. People usually just think of him as a human with extra powers. At least Jason won't feel that loneliness as much. I really liked it. Keep writing!

About all I can say is that it was a beautiful fic.

Amazing! I admit, I'm not very knowledgable in the Superman mythology so I have no idea if these soul-bonds are canon or a part of your making, but nonetheless, the explanation and story were excellent. You want to feel sad for Clark and Lois- and you do- but like the story with Clark's parents' first mates, you know it is possible to move on. It isn't your usual angst and I liked it very much. Greaty job!
