Reviews for The Greatest Story Ever Told

I thought Jesus's mother was named Mary (I don't know much about the Christian religion, I'm Jewish. Wasn't Miriam the sister of Moses?) Anyway, it's an interesting idea. The Giver never broaches the topic of religion (the irony is that I was going to name my story "Virgin Mary" instead of simply "Jonas's Birthmother" because Jonas, in a sense, is serving as some sort of prophet with a supernatural ability [communal memory]).

Dear estrella:

Why don't people tell me when they do these things? I had to run a domain-specific Google search for "The First Joyful Mystery" before I found out that someone had paid me this astonishing tribute. Many, many thanks.

(And, by the way, I can't help wondering: what do you suppose Keith Green would have said if someone had told him that, someday, one of his songs was going to be used in a tribute to a story entitled "The First Joyful Mystery"?)

Sincerely,

Qoheleth

I read 'The Giver' with myclass and I found it disturbing in a way but very entertaining in another. What are your thoughts on the book?

I love this fic! I just read The Giver for English class, and I think it's awesome. And of course the story of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection is the best story ever!

That was a very nice re-telling of His story. Kudos to you!
