so annoyed when the "small weaknesses" of this "operationnal suicide" were dismissed. but so much epic thereafter... asuka's pov was impressive but damn if rei's and shinji's didn't give me goosebumps.

would very much like akagi (if she really gave birth to that stupidity) to be reminded of one of the basic evil overlord precepts concerning plans and five year old advisors...

excellent job with the hotpool scene, too. misato's confession and apology, asuka letting another part of her defenses down, rei displaying humor... thank you for sharing your tales, once again.

I like this story. A sort of 'happy' NGE.

I just want to note though, the Over the Rainbow is meant to be CVN-75 and the two kamikaze battleship were the IRL, never finished Illinois and Kentucky.

If this Angel had lacked the ability to duplicate and engage, your attack would have no doubt destroyed it as you had presumed.

Now Shinji's face turned back the other way.

"Well" Shinji said into the slightly awkward silence as Askua smiled ever so slightly at Rei's vigorous defense of her actions. "Um, we should probably get to class…I need some sleep".

sometimes we think people are thinking about us, watching us, and looking down on us
but in reality they could care less
a person spends most of her time thinking about herself, then family and friends, and little time thinking about everyone else
And when we see that in ourselves, it is easier to understands others
Then we won't be as hurt when we feel lonely and other are not concerned (think about how much time you think about others)
We won't be as hurt when other look down on us ( they may be thinking negatively about you now, but are they gonna be think about it for an hour? two hours? a day? how much time do you spend thinking about a star's latest "mishap")

Anyways Eva is interesting, and this fanfic is very well written

That is the face I made when I saw an update to this story. And I continued making it while I read it.

Based on this chapter, it would seem like Shinji and Asuka (or someone and Asuka) need to have a serious talk about how she needs to start taking the Angel threat seriously. Then again, after this near-death experience, she might end up doing that on her own.

Words fail to describe how happy I am to see you back at this again. I've reread this story countless times, wanting more, imploring the fan fiction gods for more, and now it's delivered. Phenomenal work! Characters grew, plot wad moved along and SEELE was told to kiss Shiniest giant shiny metal ass.

I eagerly wait for more.
