You mentioned a possible epilogue? Once Finneseth has laid her clutch, it would be nice if Vell were to take a Candidates white shift to a certain kitchen drudge.

So will there be more DRoP stories?

I don't understand how a dragon and rider can be cut off from each other - and if they are, why the dragon didnt automatically go in "between" forever due to not being able to sense his rider.

Also - the last few chapters including this one doesn't have the italics for thought-speak, which makes reading a little slower/harder to do.

Good story so far - I hope Arryn remains Weyrwoman - and Vell just be her junior - it doesn't really make sense to have her step down just cause a queen was born - especially since she kept the weyr together.

You should hear the massive sigh I've just let out after finishing this. I read both fics straight from beginning to end with only six hours sleep between!

Again, wonderful job, this one had lots of twists and turns where you give just enough where we think we know what's happening; that we've been clever enough to suss it out when actually something different occurs. I was right about senia though!
