A story in faith...faith in another person...Mark willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the Judge and the Judge willing to sacrifice his professional life for Mark
| cheride chapter 1 . 9/1/2007
Well, what's not to like? A fun-filled vacation with both parties trying to make it memorable for the other (even if it does come to a rather abrupt halt); Mark in full-fledged Trouble Magnet mode; the judge completely trusting; fortunes to guide by; and Frank! Thanks for posting.

Really well plotted, well written story. I could see this as an episode. Thanks for an enjoyable read!
| L.M.Lewis chapter 1 . 8/29/2007
Good action sequences balanced by plenty of character scenes. I especially like the bit where McC ponders how things can go from normal to hell-in-a-handbasket in less than fifteen minutes.
And I'm a big fan of San Francisco, too. ;-)
| Tharin chapter 1 . 8/26/2007
Nice story! I liked the describtions of San Francisco, it made me feel like I was visiting the town, too. The plot was typical for H&Mc. I guess they would even find trouble in Antarctia.

Thanks for another good story

This was like Old Home Week for me since I lived right below Coit Tower. I love the idea of people jogging up the Filbert Steps and am having fun imagining a hotel on Washington Square (right next to the WashBag, as the Washington Square Bar and Grill was known). You must've been watching those DVDs to get the characters so right. And thanks for including Frank; he always makes a story better, doesn't he?
| JeanneZ84 chapter 1 . 8/25/2007
This story was very had so much emotion in it.
It showed that even in such a short time of knowing someone You can come to trust them and respect and love them as they feel for each other and they became a family.
| CAnn chapter 1 . 8/25/2007
I really enjoyed your story, just another vacation that turns to troubles. I think my favorite part was..
"Hardcastle was shaking his head before the young man even finished speaking. “You don’t understand, Sergeant. He wouldn’t do that to me. I know he wouldn’t. Besides, we’re only here for the weekend, and as far as I know, he doesn’t have any friends in San Francisco.”
The cofidence the judge expresses is just heart warming. Very nice! Thanks for sharing..

Good story. Great ending.
