A nice start to this story. I would have liked to see Aurilia's response to Harry's story other than to ground him for 3 weeks though. Was she upset that he had tried to do the right thing after checking to see if any Adults would help them? Was she upset at the school for allowing this to happen?

The conversation with Dobby was original and I liked how Harry was able to get a lot of info out of him and also get him to calm down enough to give it.

Okay, first I am really enjoying your series. Second, before I continue reading this chapter I must point out you have the eagle award all wrong. Cub scouts is the lowest rank in scouting then comes webelow (we be loyal), something, something and then their just boy scouts of troop such and such. You do need to get a certain number of badges done to get eagle, but the main thing is the service project. To obtain eagle a scout has to plan, submit, and execute a project that helps the community. It can be anything but it has to be approved by a commitee, executed by the scout (not parents), and kept records of and financed (how was the money raised, what was spent were, ect). My father was a scout master (the leader).

Again, I am loving the story so far and hope you continue to write.

interesting twist on the dobby visit. though won't this more or less totally kill the CoS plot? since harry knows that ginny's part of it, willing or no?

I hope Harry's hat tastes good. I love intelligent!Harry, and the hot/cold game reminds me of my elementary school days (along with playing red light/green light and 'Simon Says'). So who, exactly, will be the Cheshire Cat?
