My God, I don't know how you could have the patience to do this - I know I don't! I can see why you like these types of poems, though I'd never heard of them before. They're very clever, I think intricate is a good word to describe the style, and the repetition of course emphasises the feelings behind the words. So unusual, and just as insightful if not more so than the first few chapters. So there you go - you might not think it's good, but I do!

Oh I get it now ... your explanation confuses me, because I hate poetry and tend not to care about the styling, only what it means to me. Wonderful portrayal of Ron here, and it's lovely to see some thing other than acrostics from you.
Great work, and I can't wait for the update. D
| Cuban Sombrero Gal chapter 3 . 12/23/2007
The second verse was definitely my favourite, mainly because the jagged style seems so much more intriguing and fits your poems better. D Lovely look at Neville's bravery, and of course I'd love to see more poems from you.
| Cuban Sombrero Gal chapter 2 . 12/23/2007
Oh yes, the horrible weeping, unrequited loving Lavender has to appear. You've done her justice though, given her some real character and made her seem so much more than the ditzy girl who latches onto Ron.
Last verse was probably my favourite. D

Gah, I seriously thought I had at least started this. D
Anyway, this is wonderful. I adore Bella's thoughts on death, even though I've always thought she would be afraid of it, you know ... DE mentality and all ... Wonderful.
You're incredibly welcome for the beta, by the way. Send things whenever you want. D

i liked the "M" part in Longbottom. I would like to read all your poems, nnot just the acrostic ones! O
| HiddenDepths-x chapter 3 . 11/17/2007
I loved the contrast between the two sections, with 'Neville' showing him at his weakest and most vulnerable while 'Longbottom' showed him at his strongest, when he finally realised that he had been a hero all along. The second section was better as far as the flow of it went I think, though it might just be that I love that thing you do where the large letter isn't the first letter of the word. For some reason I just think that adds so much to the atmosphere of the whole piece. You shouldn't have been worried about this at all, it was absolutely as good as the other two, and you don't need to apologise for life getting in the way of updates - trust me, I know how you feel! And I'd love to read any other HP poetry you have, so by all means post it on here :) I'll read it at any rate!

Wow - this one was even better than Bellatrix's! I liked the fact that you didn't just have Lavender messing around with Ron in sixth year as a bit of fun, but actually showed the depth of feeling she had for him at the time. LOVED the way her obsession with him continued throughout her life, kind of in a parallel to Bella's for Voldemort. I think this is a really interesting way to write character studies, and hope you continue with them! I think, if you feel up for it, you should try Neville, because I'd love to see what you'd do with his character.
| HiddenDepths-x chapter 1 . 10/25/2007
Oohh, I liked it :) You captured the essence of Bellatrix's strange obsession with both Voldemort and the Dark Arts perfectly, and in such an unusual way! A really, really original idea that makes a great read.

Very sad and touching. I suppose I'd like to see you do either Luna or Severus next.
You've got a typo btw - "she liked to thing she hid it well".

Er, actually, Hermione does marry Ron... or haven't you read DH yet? If not, why the hell are you still writing fanfiction and not reading DH!

i don't particularly care for poetry either. but this, this is good. the Lestrange part was my favorite. it was good...
so who's next?

Cool... I've never heard of that form of acrostic poems before... I quite liked this! _
| whitehound chapter 1 . 9/3/2007
Rather good, in a weird way.
