In a desperate search for good Saiyuki fanfiction, I stumbled over you and have to say that you are by far one of the best I've found. You're amazing. Anyway I just finished reading "A Dog's Life" (And "Raising Kouryuu" which depressed me, thanks.) and after having read two brilliant stories by you I decided to check out your page, where I found this! A sequel to what I've decided has to be one of the best Saiyuki fanfictions ever! By and by, Sanzo behind the wheel makes me squeel. And that rhymes.

Anyway, after reading this first chapter I was struck to see that there was only the one chapter and that it actually hadn't been updated in several months. This worried me, and I really hope you continue with it!

I'm gonna go nose around your other fics now... .

YAY! Dog's Life just rocked all over the place, so I'm stoked there's more. I knew it was going to be great right from: "One of these days they'd learn *not* to let the half-blind man drive the car." Gold!

I love the tone of your writing, it really matches that of the manga - especially with the relationships and interactions between the four: that lovely blend of camaraderie, loyalty and solidarity with hilarious teasing and shit-stirring. In every aspect of characterisation, most obviously dialogue, you get it dead right and totally believable. Eg: "The red-head had stopped complaining about them being stolen when Sanzo fired a bullet very close to mini-Gojyo." You have a fabulous knack for one-liners anyway, and that sentence expresses so much about Gojyo and Sanzo's characters, and their relationship. Loving it.

I'm so happy you're continuing with this story! I'm sure that whatever ends up happening, with the way you write it'll be a lot of fun. Looking forward to it muchly!

aww, cute! hahah, i love sanzo's driving (it's a more extreme version of my own! mwuhahaha) sounds just as good as a dog's life, i look forward to more!

So glad you are back with a continuation . I just loved "A dogs life". It was my reading material on my 4hr Detroit to LA flight. Your writing is in my top 2!

Gah. I LOVE A Dog's Life (I've driven my friend sick because I've reread it so much. XD)... to the point that when my friend got me Nintendogs for the DS, I named my golden Sable. I swear it wasn't also for the fact that Sanzo had once been Sable/Sable had once been Sanzo. Although, considering that fact, it's amusing to watch Sable breakdance in my game...

I had forgotten that Sanzo was naked when the A Dog's Life ended, so I didn't get why he had to borrow Gojyo's clothes until I read nimblnymph's review. Ha. Poor Sanzo. No, poor Sable because the poor thing has to put up with Sanzo's "wonderful" driving skills.

Go Sanzo, go! Poor Sable, lil' puppy isn't used to the whole driving thing yet. Happy to see the sequel and I hope you are able to come up with a plot.
