| hajimebassaidai chapter 1 . 10/19/2009
Absolutely brilliant! Perfect rational for the regeneration and the change in the TARDIS appearance. Also the Doctor's total despair at what became necessary to stop the "bastardized organic-mechanical hybrids" under the burnt orange sky was incredibly evocative. My only problem is that in "Utopia" the Doctor is entirely unaware of the Time Lords revival of the Master as a strategy. Otherwise, Fantastic!

Strangely enough...Paul McGann's Byronic Eighth Doctor is definitely someone I could see going through this entire spiral of destruction and rebirth. He's someone with an almost unbeatable intelligence...but also a darkness that traps him in a spiral of self-destruction when things that are his comfort zone are taken away. The need to destroy Gallifrey to stop the Daleks? Would send him packing for isolation and addiction so fast, it would make the Flash's head spin. Which means you so rock!
| Genne chapter 1 . 9/4/2007
That was sad to say in the least. And just invisioning Mccgann's doctor doing all that, somehow makes it more heartwrenching. You did a fantastic job, it was beautiful.
